The material is a canvas-type, making it easy to keep clean/care for. I washed them recently and hung to dry. They did not wrinkle or lose their shape. Very good quality zipper closures and fit to the pillow.

I had purchased some inserts and covers from IKEA and the inserts are a bit pokey, but these are thick enough to make the pillow cozy. I am buying two more for my other pillows!
