Easy to install, professional looking
This camera was smaller than it seemed in pictures, which is good. Very easy to install and setup. Connected to the MyQ app in the first try. We already had the MyQ app for other garage door products, so we had no learning curve this time – but even the first time was relatively painless. Thus camera has a small wall wart power supply that must be plugged into a 120 volt standard receptacle – make sure youâve got a receptacle near your preferred installation location before ordering. Picture quality is excellent in day time. In a totally pitch black garage, youâll see little or nothing even in night mode – there needs to be at least a little light for the camera to see anything. It does have audio capabilities, both speaking and listening. The MyQ app displays Chamberlain product ads, which takes up valuable display screen space on your smartphone – which is annoying. But otherwise, the app is easy to setup, learn, and use.

Clear view of the Garage area.
I mounted my camera on the bottom of an upper shelf of a metal storage shelving unit on the back wall of the garage. The magnet mount holds securely and by mounting this far from the garage door provides a clear field of view of the entire garage interior. The coordination with my MYQ garage door sensor was easy and the combination provides much appreciated security for this area of my property. After a recent firmware update the operation of the camera is even better than it originally was. A very satisfying purchase.

It works
myQ Smart Garage Camera didn’t come with a metal disk to mount the camera to, as suggested by advertising and videos that I watched. I was able to mount the camera on a steal cross beam that the garage door opener is mounted on. There were no instructions in the box with the camera. The box does have a bar code that takes you to the instructions. I did watch a couple of videos before attempting the install. The software didn’t pair correctly to my wi-fi. I had to go through a removal process and pair a second time, which worked. I also zip tied the camera base to the crossbar. The videos are dark because almost all of the light comes from outside when the door opens. I am getting the information that I wanted from the videos that are created and the notifications that are being sent. So, it works for what I want.

Good Indoor camera with Magnetic bottom, very easy to mount on Wall
myQ Smart Garage Security Camera is a Good Indoor camera with Magnetic bottom, very easy to mount on Wall and cheaper price . Do not by Regular Indoor camera which can not be wall mounted , and it goes on top of a shelfmyQ Smart Garage Security Camera and indoor camera are identical except for Magnetic base and little long neck for Garage Camera , which does not matter

Useless camera without a subscription plan
I hardly leave reviews but I felt that I had to warn others to stay away from this product. So all my home security cameras are from Eufy brand. They work great, great battery life and I was sold on the Eufy brand because of quality and more importantly the $0 subscription fee.I was looking to covert my garage door opener to a smart opener and this is how I ran into myQ. At the time Eufy didnât have a smart garage door opener.I gotta say the myQ smart garage door opener works flawless, great app and UI. Iâm pretty much happy with the product. After a few weeks of purchasing the myQ smart garage door opener, I realized it would be nice to have a camera that could easily mount on the garage door opener itself. Again Eufy didnât have this type of camera at the time so I decided to go with the myQ camera.First of all, It is my fault that I didnât read the product description thoroughly because I thought this camera came equipped with an inbuilt battery unit. After I received the product I quickly learned it was a corded unit and ONLY. This was somewhat of a bummer because I thought I was getting a good deal at the purchase price. Now looking at the price, I think the camera is way overpriced given that it is pretty much a lens encased in a plastic body.During installation, I decided to go ahead and use the camera since I had access to an outlet (garage door opener outlet). So far everything works very well as advertised. I receive notifications when motion is detected and other typical camera features. And I am a happy customer. After I ran out of the free trial (30 days or less), I quickly learned that I CANNOT use the basic functions of camera such as real time push notification when motion is detected. I have no way to check events detected by the camera. At this point it is pretty much a see through mirror. That is how frustrated I am.And out of principle, I wouldnât pay a dime to this company to use basic features of a camera that is already overpriced. My best bet at this time is replace the camera with something else.

Great Camera, Crap Software
I bought one of these refurbished and thought it was problematic, so I returned it for a new one…..I have a myQ Smart garage door opener that uses the same app, so thought this would be an affordable addition that would allow me to use the same app to see inside my garage, so seemed like a no brainer. The new camera seemed to work more consistently, but I couldn’t use the microphone speaker. I called customer support and they had me download a Craftsman app to get the camera to work, but it doesn’t notify me when my garage door is opened and closed like the myQ app does…..they really need to get their crap together when it comes to their software! Other than that, the camera itself works great. Clear image, night vision works well, sensors picks up movement like it should, even when bugs come in sight.

Excelente.
