I am so happy that I bought these! I use headphones when I do cardio workouts and for meditating. I previously had a pair of in-ear earbuds. They were alright for meditation when I was sitting still, but they drove me crazy for doing cardio. They were always trying to work their way out of my ear, so the sound would get worse as they backed out. Then I would stuff it back in and sometimes in the process, I would accidentally pause the music, or turn the volume all the way up suddenly. Other times they would just fall all the way out of my ear. Once one of them landed in the floor and went under a piece of furniture that hadn’t been dusted under lately. I was not happy to stop my workout to clean the fuzz off my earbud. With these NONE of that is a problem at all! They have flexible hooks that go around the back of your ear. The speaker portion sits at the entrance of your ear, rather than going into your ear canal. This is called “open ear” meaning that your ear is not blocked, it is still open. This makes them so much more comfortable for me, I never liked the feeling of the in-ear type. It also means that these don’t completely block the outside world, so if you were exercising outside, you would still be able to hear something like a car coming toward you, making them much safer. This doesn’t mean that the noise from outside overtakes your music. It doesn’t at all. You might be able to hear something in the background, but your music or podcast, etc. will be front and center. For me, the music is even more immersive because the sound is constant. With my other ones sliding out all the time, the sound quality was greatly affected. These are great and very easy to use. I opened the package, easily paired them with my phone, hit pandora and proceeded to bounce around like crazy, shaking my head to test them out. They didn’t budge at all. I never had to touch them after I put them on, they needed no adjustment whatsoever. The sound quality is really good as well. It is full and rich with good base sound. If you are on the fence between in ear or open ear, give these a try, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. My only regret is that I struggled with my old ones for so long before getting these!
