Nice and firm
Itâs a good mattress and Iâm a few weeks into it and I have not had any issues.
Itâs breathes very well and it is perfectly firm for my back. The price point seems to be about average for a good quality mattress.

I was reticent about getting this mattress
I was really on the fence with this purchase and went strictly by the reviews. Never sat on one before. I purchased the base model for a g, g. It is super comfortable. I weigh 200 pounds and I never get close to weighing through it to the bottom. Itâs actually quite firm, feels nice and I have been getting a good nights sleep with my Purple mattress. I almost got Casper and another brand but I am very glad that I finally purchased this brand. You are getting a fine mattress at a reasonable cost point. Costco also had a foam style mattress but this is better by far. The grids on top donât feel like grids at all. If you didnât see them you would never know they are there. I think that if you stay with the base model as I did, you will get a really good value. It doesnât look or feel cheap at all. It feels every bit more expensive than it actually is. I am super happy that I got mine and can recommend this to you as well.

The purple mattress meets my needs in all respects, I no longer wake up with sore hips. It’s like floating on clouds. 🙂 It’s a bit harder to turn to the side while sleeping due to its softness, but it’s not a big problem.

Perfect for curvy women!
 I got this mattress after seeing several ads on it through Amazon as I was scrolling through amazon. Ads would show eggs being sat on and not cracking and people sleeping in total comfort and bliss. So I was convinced after about the 7th ad, that this mattress was for me!! It arrived within 3 business days! Itâs quit heavy but is compressed into a rolled up mattress. I was a bit confused. My mom was with me and asked âare you sure this is the mattress in the pictureâ and k I assured her it was but I needed to unroll and unwrap it. As soon as it hit air, in inflated and filled to a full size mattress! It was so incredibly soft and conforming. Iâm a curvy girl weighing over 180 pounds, so conforming was very important to me because Iâve begun to get body aches after picking up exercising again. I posted a video of my hand being pushed down on this bed. You see how well it conforms, I havenât slept so sound in years! This brand also sells pillows and other accessories. I went and purchased their pillow too. Iâll do a separate review on that one. I hope this helps.

Severe chronic back pain from spinal cord compression. Zero Relief with this âthingâ
I bought this mattress based on the rave reviews from people with the same chronic back problems I suffer from.
I had such high hopes that, finally, a mattress company would actually have something to provide me some relief. And with a reasonable return policy to help make sure itâs right for me.
I gave the mattress a long trial period⦠I gave it a chance⦠to see if it would be better than my $2000+ Sleep Number bed. Iâve been in severe, debilitating pain for so long now. I sold the sleep number and wish I could get it back. It was far superior and at least I could get around somewhat during the day without too much pain.
Itâs been a long while since I could actually do a full weekâs work. I am a programmer and sit all day for 12 plus hours.
As for the Purple Mattress⦠after today, I realized that I am not eligible for a return.
This is an over-priced, ânext-levelâ version of a foam âwater raftâ or blow up mattress⦠They certainly have some EXCELLENT marketing in their arsenal!
Apparently I fell for it!.
I was under the impression that Purple âbends over backwardsâ to make their customers satisfied⦠extra long trial periods⦠returns etc.
Well, After not sleeping on the mattress for well over a debilitating month now⦠itâs just been a colossal, $1,700+ mistake and now Iâm screwed.
Now I have to go back to my old physical therapist again because of the damage I have received/exasperated, sleeping on floor⦠couches. Recliner⦠now I canât afford to try another flash-in-the-pan, fly-by-night mattress companyâ¦
I just want to give up⦠unfortunately, I have a family to support and now spend 3 days a week, away from work to try and find some relief from the back pain.
Bottom Line
Be careful where/how you buy these things. Iâve seen commercials where you have a whole 12 months to try it out.
I bought it through my Amazon prime⦠and just made the mistake of assuming they would offer the same return policy as the Purple company?!?
My wife is a lot younger than me⦠doesnât have any back problems⦠she refuses to sleep in our master bedroom because of the Purple mattress. She just canât sleep on it. She hurts all over in the morning so gave up a long time before I did.
I guess Iâm spending so much time writing this review in the hopes that someone at Purple or Amazon: (who I spend many thousands of dollars a year with) would stand up and try to make this horrible experience right.

Great price and quality
My son loves this. It is medium firmness, so not too firm. Heavy when it arrived in a large roll. Great price compared to local companies. Thatâs why we bought it here. Will be buying another one soon. If using with traditional bed frame you will need a box frame. I bought a 4â one on Amazon so the bed wasnât too high.
