Works great
Installation and set up was easy. I used different screws to mount it, i never use the screw that come with it as they tend to strip easily.I bought this camera to keep an eye on my puppy while I was out. Being anguardian dog, she loves to be outside so I leave her out when I go run errands. This camera is 360° pan and 140° tilt. I love how I can keep an eye on her and follow her around the yard. The 2 way talk works, it’s not overly loud, but she can hear me. I bought a 128 gig SD card for it so I can use playback. I know some reviews mention the charge with the solar panel. Mine works fine, but I do not keep it on 24/7 so I can’t speak for all day/night use with the charge. I have left it on for several hours after I got home because I forgot to turn it off and it was at 95%. So for me this works great, it also covers the rest of the property and side of house where I have it mounted.Night vision is alright. The black and white without spot light at far distances, 75+ feet I can see shadows. I can turn the brightness up in the settings for night time to see better far out. I turn it back down for day time. The spot light is bright! And works well for colored night vision. When motion is detected at night and triggers the spot light I can see all the way to the end of property line. Seeing faces if there were any that far out would be difficult to identify. You can zoom in while looking at the camera, and like any camera, the more you zoom in the more pixilated the image gets. For me all around, this camera is good quality, range of motion is awesome! Easy to link up to the app. I got this on sale, so the price was good as well. If you are looking to see past 50+ feet with clear image, get a pan tilt with zoom option. All in all I’m pleased with this camera and am thinking about getting more.I hope this review is was helpful

Far Better than Anticipated – Update
I had to return two cameras from a different seller. I could not get past the the app. i was hesitant that I was faced with the same situation. I was so wrong. From the packaging, to the instructions, this has been a FAR superior experience. The instructions are easy to understand and more or less take you through the few steps necessary. Several notes below:1. I did strip the screws provided. Plan on having spares standing by.2. The power cord from the solar panel to the camera is long, allowing you to put the solar panel on the sunny side of the street, and the camera in a protected area. While it is “weather proof”, a wise user will find a protected area for the camera.3. The box comes with white power cord which can charge the camera before putting the camera in its permanent location. Once the solar panel is attached to the camera, it appears to be doing a pretty good job of keeping the camera charged even without direct sunlight. An orange light indicates the camera is being charged, while a green light indicates a full charge.4. A 2.4 GHZ WIFI is required.5. Problems: Other than stripped screws, I had a minor difficulty linking the camera to my iPhone and iPad. After two days, I still have not been able to link to my PC. I live in a colder climate and am a little concerned of our -20f temperatures. We will see. It required a micro-SD card for playback. I have one installed but it so far is not recognized by the camera. Also, the instructions don’t clearly show where the micro-SD card is inserted. Rotate the camera pointing up to revel the slot. While this camera is looking out over the lake, I’m buying a second for the other side of the house. This has been a very positive experience so far.Oh and I failed to mention that the image quality is very good. I’m waiting to see if I can pickup an image of our resident bear.UPDATE:Camera #2 purchased and EVERYTHING positive I can say about the first camera applies to this as well. The set up was so easy and I was a little concerned as to how the app would handle another camera. Again, even that aspect was amazingly easy.IMPORTANT: I found out after the first camera failed to recognize my 128GB micro-SD card that these cameras will not accept a micro-SD larger than 64GB. I have 32GB cards in both cameras now and the capture videos are great. Still haven’t caught the bear on the camera but plenty of deer eating our flowers at 2:45AM. There is nothing negative to say about the cameras. I am a little concerned with the colder temperatures but we will have to see.UPDATE:I was cautioned not to go below 10 degrees Fahrenheit. Due to circumstances beyond my control I was unable to return home this winter. I monitored the temperature and the two days we fell to -33F, I checked both cameras. All worked as expected. The pan & tilt may have been a little slower but I was able to move the cameras and use all of the functions at -33F. If there was rain or wet snow, I would not have moved the cameras and waited for slightly warmer temperatures. These cameras and this company is far better than expected.

Manage your expectations
As a stand-alone rechargeable battery wifi PTZ camera, it’s great. Though it has no optical zoom, the digital zoom is fine given the 8MP sensor. It works well at night with IR. With a strong wifi connection, it has no problem responding to PTZ commands or streaming the camera. I myself found it a breeze to set up and configure. The phone app makes it very easy. The time lapse feature is fun, though unnecessary for a security camera. But…….the motion detection circuitry on this camera is awful. Even if it does detect motion, it starts recording a few seconds after the motion was detected. And it does not record until motion stops. It times out at 8 or 15 seconds, its a setting. It also records many false motions. Though the sensitivity is “adjustable”, I have yet to find a happy medium between recording when it should and not when it shouldn’t. It has no PC or web interface, everything is via the phone app. And it is not designed for continuous monitoring. It times out streaming after 1 minute. It does not come with an SD card, though one is needed for all features. It does come with excellent mounting brackets and hardware. Depending on how much recording the thing does, the included solar cell may or may not recharge it fully before sundown. Time-lapses are fun but are hard on the battery.I bought 3 of these things as they are great wifi PTZ cameras. I use them to log in and see what’s happening around my house with activity and weather. And at $122 when I bought them, it’s a decent price for what they do. But as stand-alone security cameras, meh. Look into something better.

This is the Reolink Ultra PT battery security camera. I also purchased the additional solar panel to enable recharging of the battery that is not removable. The camera has high quality colour and or black and white footage and operates based on sensor when motion is detected and is not constantly recording. Features too many to name but the handy Reolink app allows all sorts of settings and recordings to be viewed remotely on iPad or iPhone or Android devices after initial set up which again is relatively straight forward. You can also apply âmaskâ to the app so you are not viewing neighbours windows on houses or other areas. No subscription or ongoing fees to use app. The battery life before recharging will vary dependant on use and viewing currently mine has lasted 4 weeks on one charge (limited daily viewing) Battery cannot be removed for charging and a usb cable can either be connected to the solar panel (additional cost or by connecting to a powerbank. If you canât be bothered with charging purchase the wired option and have it connected to power source. The advantage of the battery option is it can be relocated without an electrician and if the mains power goes off during storm or other outage your battery operated reolinhk will still work. You can record to a micro sd card (additional purchase) to store footage if you donât wish to purchase a full recording system. The slot in the camera is in a protected position on the device to avoid weather or quick removal by an intruder. The camera has an alarm, speaker to talk to persons at house , although this only picks up clear audio within a few metres of the camera. Also has strong lights for night time recording in colour The camera has a tool to lock the camera into the cradle to prevent it being easily removed by an intruder, it has two different attachments so can be installed under an eave or on a post or facia board of a building. It appears to be well built. There are many Reolink battery and hard wired cameras available and I would based on current use and experience purchase another or something similar or updated model within the Reolink range.Best advice before purchase is to make sure it will suit your own individual security requirements.

Very happy with this camera, only minor gripe is that there is a delay between tablet and camera when panning etc, that apart, great picture, very easy to set up and install

We started with one of these cameras to monitor cattle approaching their calving dates. Checking for animals in labour to catch problems early is a life saver. Checking usually involves a lot of getting up in the night and not wandering far from home in the day. We can now check with the cell phone from anywhere at any time.We now have six of these cameras. Three to monitor the cattle and three to monitor the sheep. The cameras work well in the dark but not so well when it snows, when there’s freezing rain, or even in heavy rain.I had to set up a wide area 5 GHz Wi-Fi network to cover the barn yards but that wasn’t difficult. The cameras work very well. I truned off all the alarms and security features – they just consusme battery energy. I thought not having an analogue zoom capability would be a problem but the 4K resolution is more than enough to monitor the animals in the field. The 2K version is less expensive and works well in the barns.Overall this has been a fantastic time and sleep saver!
