Comprehensive home security system at super low price & no recurring expense
Easy setup with (8max) Reolink E1’s and RLC’s (check UID prefix to be sure). a couple of 128GB microSD’s provides plenty of storage. Easy setup in the existing Reolink apps. In no time, you’ll be recording motion. Added notifications to GMail (hint: add a filter w/ labels) No monthly fees – the best part of all.I have additional Reolink cameras (more than the 8) – it seems to be a better solution to just buy a 2nd hub versus a Pro version. The Pro version would be worth it if it had object recognition in the hub as opposed to the cameras.3 of the cameras are WiFi and 5 are PoE. No range issues with the WiFi but I have a small 1700 sq ft house. I did NOT configure to use the cameras on my home Orbi mesh – I just used the default setup. I would like to switch to the Orbi network when possible.

Kind of a gimmick….to upgrade your previous cameras..
I bought this to fix the lag for reviewing video from MicroSD cards. First, all of my cameras were not compatible even though a few were listed as such. The indoor cheap E1 was of course the only compatible one..my Argus PT 4mp will be after a firmware update in mid July. My Argus 2s no compatibility. Second, The hub generates it’s own wifi. With no antennas or signal boosters this is great for a small 1600 sq ft home single story. I have a two story concrete block home and can’t get a good signal to my outdoor cameras. I then have to connect my cameras as standalone to my network and then to the hub bypassing the hubs built in wifi. There is no option to extend the wifi with a repeater since it is not made this way. Third, for some reason the cameras are set to 30 second recording after a trigger and Im getting about 3-5 seconds of video not sure why. Have latest firmware on them. Another issue I have which is prob the Argus 3 pro is it won’t connect to the hub without a firmware update. It notifies me and then it won’t update. It is a continuous loop. For the price you should get at least an included 128 gb micro SD card not a measly 64gb one, and at least a way to extend the wifi abilities of the unit. Not sure if it is worth the price yet.Pros: easy setup and seems well built. The playback is faster than SD cards. Hopefully there is some updates and a way to boost the signal.Update: I gave up using this stupid box. My cameras kept loosing connection. I spent hrs trying work arounds but it just won’t work. My house is too large and I have thick solid concrete beams that the signal wont go through. Back to using micro SD cards and a wifi repeater. Dont buy!!

Impossible to setup
I am far from “not tech savvy” and I’m going to have to say this was without a doubt the most frustrating device I’ve ever dealt with. Once I got the cameras to connect to it the signal strength to the cameras was far worse than just using my home wifi without using the hub. Secondly if I tried to stream from one of my cameras using the hub I would get the error “This camera doesn’t support…” I gave up! Meanwhile the android app was working great both viewing recorded files off of the micro sd card in the camera and live viewing also. So I surmised that the issue was with the Reolink Home Hub. I also would like to mention that the Reolink desktop app for Mac is awful also. Cameras try to connect and fail and finally connect after repeated attempts and then drop again. And again the android phone app works fine. There’s definitely a ways to go for this product and its support software. And I wish to add that AMAZON IS GREAT! I boxed everything back up and put it in the mailer it came in. I issued a return for the item and received what I needed for Amazon to accept the return and mail it. No hassle, no questions, no runaround. Thanks Amazon!

Solid Home Security Hub with Local Storage (Could Use a Few More Features)
The REOLINK Home Hub is a solid foundation for a home security system that prioritizes local storage and privacy. The 64GB microSD card is a nice inclusion, and the ability to expand storage is a plus. The 2.4/5GHz Wi-Fi 6 connectivity ensures a stable and fast connection, and the support for up to 16MP cameras means you can capture clear and detailed footage. The encryption algorithm provides an added layer of security.I do wish it offered a bit more in terms of smart home integration or features beyond basic security. For example, it would be great if it had a built-in siren or the ability to trigger other smart home actions based on events.Overall, it’s a reliable and user-friendly security hub that’s great for those who value local storage and don’t want to be tied to a monthly subscription fee.

Completely Happy
This does takes over all the functions that I previously had with the RLN12W. I now don'[t have to connect the RLN12W to a monitor for some configurations. I can now do it all through Home Hub. I have all the same functionality that I had it is easier to access. It has bee two months and I have not had any problems.

A Must Have if you have reolink cameras
Connecting to my camper cameras used to take a long time to load the recordings, and sometimes it would time out. However, since I installed this new hub system and added the cameras, the issues have disappeared! It’s incredibly faster, and I haven’t experienced any loading failures since the installation.

Do not buy (yet) if using battery/solar cameras!!
I wanted to add this to my home network as a client device. Unfortunately it forces you to use its WiFi capability which has terrible signal strength. As a result, the Argus sitting 7 feet away with solar panel loses its charge after about 15 hours despite being in full sun for 8 hours a day. I missed the return window so now itâs a pretty paperweight until the mobile app gets a promised update (no ETA from support)
