Excellent for <20F cycling
I cycle 1,000 mile a month year-round and I've tried about a dozen different face warmers and similar items. This is the BEST one for extremely cold weather, like under 20 F. If you use it above 20 F, you may find it too warm. Above 20 F I use a lighter-weight face warmer. This really keeps my face warm and preheats the air a bit, reducing lung and nasal irritation - your runny nose will stop by like 90%. It is very well ventilated and I've never felt like I couldn't breathe enough through it. This type of headgear is inherently uncomfortable but the ROCKBROS ski mask is as comfortable as possible and I've worn it for hours on end. The front pulls down well so you can take a drink. The part over your mouth and nose is somewhat firm and sticks out from your skin a decent amount, eliminating skin irritation. I use it without the white interior filter. The plastic vents do have a habit of coming apart so I recommend removing them and putting some plastic cement where they join and reinstalling them. The plastic nose bridge helps make a tight seal against fogging. I recommend wearing it high up on your cheeks, as that seems to improve the seal and eliminate fogging.

Works well but valve fell off the second day it was used
Update:Rockbrothers made it right and replaced the mask. I did notice on the new mask that the valves were not tightened properly. So tightened them up before use, no more problems.Arrived on time but was poorly packaged. Was sent in just the plastic zipper bag. Not even in a box or shipping bag!Second day of use one of the valves fell off. May have been damaged in shipping. Only used it for about an hour the day before. Was very warm and comfortable the first use.UPDATE:Messaged the seller about the valve falling out through Amazon return application. Said I would get a response within 24 hours. Itâs been 3 days now and still no response. Iâm not a happy customer!!!

Not great
Got this for downhill skiing. Used it in -3° F weather. The carbon filter got damp almost immediately and was awkward after I pulled the mask down once. Hard to straighten out after I put the mask back up.The valves fell out almost immediately. By the end of day two I was still using it tom some effect but had to abandon the valves and filter. For another $13-$15 you can buy more valves and filters on Amazon but at that point you can buy a much nicer mask.It did keep my head warm and worked under a helmet. Sturdy other than the whole valve and filter thing.Would have been a bad choice if it wasnât used at a resort with a lodge to duck into between runs.If you simply canât afford anything else and arenât camping or out on ling trails itâs probably fine.Anything more and Iâd avoid it. Having already bought it Iâll probably go ahead and throw good money after bad to buy a bag of valves and filter material.End of day two I was using still using it without the valves and filter and it was ok for the most part but the weather was much warmer. A fleece balaclava or scarf would have done as well without any valves to lose.

Comfortable and effective
Fits my rather large head very well, and keeps it warm. My only complaint is the flip-side of my favorite feature. The large plastic faceplate does a great job of keeping the mask from pressing up against my nose, and pressing on my nose is a great way to make it run. Eww. The flip side of that is that pulling the mask down when you’d rather have fresh air than full-face coverage is awkward and a bit uncomfortable, but that’s a minor issue for me. Definitely worth the price, and has done me well on several Minnesota winter hikes.

Total JUNK…..
I tried to use this ,once; now this is what I have left(see photo). I ride bike to work everyday, in Minnesota. Yesterday morning was -16 below zero. Really could have used this had it worked. Put it on; opened the breather valves, and it all fell apart. Just pissed. Don’t buy, unless u like wasting ur time and money. Both the maker and seller of this junk should have to stop selling it and refund each and everyone that have wasted their hard earned money on. U b better off buying a roll of paper towels and wrap around ur face and piece of scotch tape to hold it together. May not last long, but will last longer then this face mask.

Neoprene lined with lightweight fleece- itâs thin enough to go under a helmet and provide full face coverage in extreme conditions (with goggles of course).I had some initial reservations after reading some of the reviews where people lost a vent. From what I can see thatâs just user error. The mask comes assembled with a filter installed but the vents arenât locked in place.Locking the vents in place (which also retains the filter, requires twisting the rear attaching ring part the initial stop point until it clicks in place. The OPEN / CLOSE marking are for the valve installation only and have nothing to do with the airflow. Airflow is controlled by pulling the outer section of the valve assembly outwards to open the valve. Yup – no instructions included.Iâve ordered a second one ð
DO NOT BUY. –
Was marketed for adults and was way to tight on my 13 year old son. Could not breathe at all, foggy glasses, vent clips keep falling out. Looks expensive in the photo but its cheap material and plastic. Wish I would of known they did not accept returns as I don’t make enough money to give it away for an item I can nsver use as it doesenr fit or function. Maybe put NO RETURNS in the title

This thing is great, very warm when riding my ebike at 30kms/hr in 8c weather, I experienced no fogging whatsoever on my glasses or the visor of my bike helmet, was a short trip for a basic test, so not sure about any issues after extended use, but so far I’m very impressed with this, especially for under $20.
