IT SUCKS AND SO DOES THE INSURANCE–$200 FOR CRAP
Maybe they call this a cheap phone. I’ll agree as far as quality, but 150 bucks for a phone is a lot of money for me. Thing didn’t even 9 months, and the insurance I spent even more money on is, apparently, completely worthless. If your phone is broken, they can’t process a claim because you don’t have a working text number. Why can’t they use email? That was good enough for them to send the insurance policy in the first place. What possible reason could they have for not using my email to process the claim? What good is insurance on a phone if you can’t use the insurance once the phone breaks. Giant effing ripoff, the way they set it up.]Here’s an update: I tried to contact amazon. amazon hung up on me 3 times after taking the info. Earlier, when I tried to contact amazon, they had the seller message me. Now amazon says they can’t even find the order. In between, some guy told me that the money for the insurance I bought has already been refundedSo that’s how amazon handles serious customer complaints. Jerk the guy around for a couple hours, chasing order numbers and names of sellers or whatever, hang up on him 3 or 4 times in the process, give him a phony phone number to call which is actually Hendrick Lexus in KC, MO, then finally after a few hours, transfer the call to your “specialized dept” for which the agent is not even allowed to give a name or number. Then I wait on hold. Eventually, I’m sure I’ll just be disconnected and that will end amazon’s involvement.I knew amazon was iffy, but I really didn’t suspect that the whole operation is mostly a giant scam. think about this. As big as amazon is, and as much money as they rake in, shouldn’t they publish their phone number right at the top of the page? And shouldn’t they share enough of their wealth to, then, actually hire enough people to answer that phone? And shouldn’t it be possible to talk to an agent in my own country who really speaks my language and not just the movie or book version? And shouldn’t the agents we are able to contact actually know enough to really help? Because I’m not at all happy being just a pocketbook for Jeff Bezos. That’s almost exactly what just did happen. After waiting for the “specialized dept” for about 10 minutes, some women answered, mumbled something, then the line went dead. Thanks, amazon, go screw yourself, bezos.

so far, so good
My wife and I each bought the A32 5G. Reviews said it was good and the refurbished models we bought were quite inexpensive. I’ve used it about 2 weeks. There is a learning curve (at least for me, who’s an oldie for which things don’t come naturally like it does with the youngsters) but you can download the manual. I can only judge the A32 in comparison to the Samsung Galaxy S5 I previously used. The A32 takes a little bit longer to charge, but is lasting a whole lot longer than the S5. The A32 is so much quicker than the S5. It was somewhat frustrating to wait for the S5 to process instructions. We chose the A32s because of the cameras. Didn’t mean anything to me but it did to my wife, and so far she is pleased with the quality of the cameras. The A32s are about an inch longer than the S5, which means I can’t close the flap on my cargo pockets. And it is noticeably heavier than the S5. But neither of these changes is major to me. And the A32 is slippery. We put screen protectors on immediately. The protector is slippery, of course, like any glass. But the back of the A32 is just as slippery, so we have to be careful when picking them up. Again, not a major issue. Overall, yes, we are quite pleased with the phones.

Screen glass breaks easily
I bought this phone for myself and my wife. Everything works fine, but both of us ended up with cracked screens within a few months, even with cases and screen protectors. Some of the cracks are from accidents, but some just seemed to appear with no explanation. For the price, I can live with a few cracks until I replace it.
