    It Smells Like Christmas
Ever want the smell of Christmas in a jar without having to purchase a candle or wax melts? This is it. I absolutely adore this scent – it’s so crisp and clean and, even though I’m sensitive to smells, it doesn’t give me a headache. I was a little underwhelmed when the scent dissipated after only 3 days, however I’ve noticed if you give the Scentsicles a little rub down or shake – you smell them again. Even though the scent faded, I still like to have these around the house every holiday, because it means my house always smells faintly of pine trees. I’ll be back for more next year!

    Smells Great
I usually don’t like the scent of things like this, and most pine scents I’ve come across are too fake and weird. This one is nice. They’re pricey, however. I got them at Christmas. There are only 6 in a container, unfortunately. They come with little hangers so you can hang them on a tree or something else. The scent is nice and fairly natural, but sadly, it doesn’t seem to last all that long. Maybe a week.

Great Scent, But Residue Stays on Hands…Don’t Rub Eyes
My mom and dad moved to a retirement community high rise where live Christmas trees, wreaths, and garlands are not allowed because they create a mess. My mom loves Christmas and was devastated. We found high quality artificial products, but she missed the scent. So I bought these. They are effective! The scent is wonderful. I hung them on the tree, wove them into the garland, and stashed a few in the wreath. A annoying neighbor “tattled on” my parents for having a live wreath on the door. Ha! Imagine her surprise when the building manager proved to the Queen Complainer that it was an artificial wreath that somehow smelled like was made from live materials. Now that’s an endorsement for this product! My only complaint, hence the 4 stars, is that there should be a gigantic warning label that says to use gloves, preferably disposables, when handling the scent sticks. The warning label should also say don’t touch your eyes after handling and before washing your hands. The sticks have a sappy residue that gets on your hands.I made the mistake of rubbing my eyes before I washed my hands. I ended up at an urgent care facility! My eyes are fine now. And my hands no longer smell like pine trees.

    Doesn’t smell like real pine
I really wanted to like this product. I put all 6, (like the instructions say), on my artificial tree. Within the hour, my nose and eyes started running, and I was reminded about why we got rid of all those plug-in air fresheners. I removed all but one stick, and we’ll see how that goes. At best, it doesn’t smell like a real Christmas tree. It smells like I washed the floor with Pine-Sol. Oh well, I’ll keep looking for a genuine pine scent.

    Strong, refreshing vaguely-evergreen scent
I stopped buying live trees because of the expense and mess but missed the pine scent of the firs I favored. Upon the recommendation of some co-workers I picked these up and the instructions say to use the full six in your canister for a good sized tree. I popped the container open, took a sniff and thought it was subtle enough that I could use the six and be good. The next day the smell of an entire conifer forest pervaded the home. It’s possible the volatiles got blown off by the HVAC vent at the base of the tree but it was like someone took a giant redwood tree, shoved the whole thing into a giant distiller and extracted essence of tree and poured it out over the plastic tree I have. I put three of the sticks away and now the aroma has abated. So lesson learned, use a few sticks and gauge how your environment will diffuse the scent. And don’t use it in front of the HVAC equipment.
