Simple but Effective Smart Thermostat
This thermostat is very uncomplicated, but does everything a person should want out of a smart thermostat. You can pay hundreds for other smart thermostats but none will heat/cool you home better than this Sensi Lite. The app interface is clean and easy to understand. You can set multiple heat/cool scenarios and activate whichever one needed at the tiime. One feature that I like in particular is the “Early Start” that will start heat/cool early to achieve your target temperature at the specified time. For many people who do not have the C-Wire, this thermostat will work perfectly without it. No need to worry yourself and suffer sleepless nights over C-Wire. With or WITHOUT C-Wire this thermostat will do the job for you. Enjoy your sleep with no C-wire nightmares.I have owned other smart thermostats and some (more expensive than this) have had unreliable connections to wifi. They would be offline as often as ONLIINE. This is very annoying when you want to check the temperature or wish to change settings when you’re away from home. The Sensi Lite has been ROCK SOLID in its’ online connection. In the months since installation, I have never, even ONCE, observed it being Offline.I have recommended this to other family members. If you want to keep your home heated or cooled to a specific range of temperature and don’t want to worry if you will freeze or boil in your home due to a rogue thermostat, then the Sensi Lite is for you.Check around and you will find almost all other smart thermosts to be MUCH more expensive than the Sensi. This is reasonably priced and will do a great job for you.UPDATE: After 2 months of use, the touch sceen on the thermostat croaked, so I was only able to adjust temperature in the app. I purchased this a “Used: Like New”, but as you may know you’re out of luck after 30 days. Fortunately, Amazon gave me a grace period and agreed to refund. But, don’t count on a refund past 30 days.I repurchased this SAME thermosat, but NEW this time an added a 36 month warrnty, to be safe.I am still sold on this thermosat, but anything can malfunction, so I don’t believe I’d buy this thermostat as refurbished. I would buy this NEW.

Works with an older system and easy to set up
We have a second home and wanted a thermostat we could monitor/control from home. This unit workout perfectly. We have a older HVAC with a separate electric furnace with four wires, no common. Using the app for installation was so easy. There is allot of information/help videos on line. We do not use the schedule setting, we’re either here or not so I can’t say anything about those. But you can do everything from the app.

cheaper and just as good as Nest
Great smart thermostat that a local AC guy recommended, just as good as the Nest but cheaper and does all the same simple stuff the average household would need it for. It connects to wifi and I am able to control it from my phone wherever Im at, even when im in another state. It can also be placed on a schedule and its easy to install and connect to. Thank you.

Poor connectivity
I have a home that was built in 2006 and I work in a technical field (engineer) so I am familiar with troubleshooting hardware/software problems. Anyway, my problems with this unit started immediately. During installation, one is supposed to note the letter codes that the existing thermostat is connected to so that the new thermostat can be notified (via wifi and on app on your phone) how to program its terminals to match the original thermostat’s functionality. Unfortunately, my existing wire connection was not recognized as being valid by the app (even though my home is relatively new, has a C wire and works properly with the original controller). I didn’t let the this deter to me as I was sure I could fine a setup that would work through a little trial/error and voltage measurement. I was able to program my thermostat the first time without any issues; however, the setup I entered didn’t work (system produced heat when it should have been cold), so I tried to reprogram the thermostat for a 2nd try. When I searched for my wifi network on the app, I was informed that no networks could be found, which was strange since all my other devices (computers, tablets, TVs, etc) had no issues connecting to my wifi. No problem I thought because I was given the option of entering the name of a network manually, which I did. After entering the name I was asked to enter the network’s password twice, which is also strange since double entry is typically required for setting up online accounts, but not for connecting to your own wifi. Anyway, I entered the password twice and things seemed to be okay for a short time, but then the app kept informing me that it was losing its connection to the thermostat. I put the thermostat in “setup” mode by pressing the mode button for 4 seconds, but the thermostat would only stay in setup mode for a few seconds, and whenever it popped out of setup mode, the app would lose its connection again. What was really frustrating is that every time I tried to change the setup, I had to enter the network name and the password twice, which is pretty dumb for a “smart” device! I fought the system for about 2 hours and I was finally able to get another setup programmed, but that one didn’t work either. At this point I decided I was done fighting the thing and I returned it. Again, I’m a competent technical person and my heat pump is relatively new and in good working condition. If I can’t get it working smoothly, I don’t think many others will be able to either. Perhaps I just had a lemon, but my advice is to steer clear of this finicky little monster.

Remote via phone for house temperature makes life so easy!
LOVE the Sensi thermostat so you can regulate the house temperature by your phone! If you forget to change your house temperature before you leave, as long as you have your cell phone with you, NO PROBLEM! If you or hot or cold at night or when watching a movie on the couch, no one has to get up and go to the wall thermometer, just regulate temp from your phone! Super simple! Love it!

I managed to get this working with my old brivis gas heating unit. This thermostat need C wire for gas heating.Old thermostat had only two wires. But the heater unit had C wire built-in which I rewired to connect to this thermostat to make it work.Setup is very straightforward. It’s being one month since I installed and working perfectly.Happy with thr product so far.Note that this is a US product and it has US units and location/ weather information is only related to US or Canada. But I use Alexa and Google Home to align with my location in AU.

Worst price ever. Do not waste your time II purchased two of these units. I had them professionally installed. Both units keep loosing the wifi signal. This is very annoying when trying to manage the heat from the app when not home. In order to re-connect the wifi , I must detach the unit take out the battery’s and re-install them. The units do not allow me to connect to wi-fi from the menu option on the unit. This is a very frustrating unit and 50% of the time it is off line. I cannot get the ap to switch modes from heat to cool. No options given on ap. No product support.
