So good we got a second
Impressed!!! 2 days in and the 2 we got are blowing our minds. Mostly indoor, but kinda okay in mellow wind outdoors. Might not last much longer but for $20 we are stoked.

Doesnât work and instructions wrong
This mini drone seemed like it would be fun for many reasons. Unfortunately, it does not function according to its description. To make matters worse, the accompanying instructions are incorrect in part, and overall incomplete. The drone itself has a rechargeable, while the controller runs off of 3 AAA batteries. It would be nice if both components were rechargeable. The instructions for turning on the drone are incorrect. They indicate that there is a switch on the bottom of the drone that turns it on. There is no switch on the bottom, but there is an opening in the TOP of the drone which functions as a switch. This âswitchâ took a frustrating 20 minutes to find and identify. The drone and controller have to be paired. This apparently was accomplished, but some of the controller functions donât work at all. There is a button labeled âflightâ that is supposed to activate the drone to fly. This button does nothing. The left joystick will also initiate flight, but the other command buttons have no explanatory instructions . The drone and controller will work together for maybe 30 seconds and then unpair for no apparent reason, even ten feet apart from each other. There are blue and red lights on the drone. At different times these flash, or are solidly lit. What those two functions mean is anybodyâs guess-again, no mention in the instructions. The drone beeps when certain controller buttons are pressed. The beeps are not explained in the instructions.I expected this to be simple and easy to operate. It is not simple at all and it operates independently of the controller, and even then, only sometimes.A perfect piece of junk.

An extremely fun beginner drone, simplified.
I think one the greatest things about this little drone is the USB-C plugin charging. Sometimes pulling out the batteries over and over again can be a pain, so being able to just stick this on the end of your laptop charger is really nice.It also has a surprising benefit in its novel shape: it’s easy to tell what’s the front of the drone. I usually fly airplanes, which are easy to tell front-to-back due to both shape and movement direction. Drones can be a bit more difficult since they are a symmetrical shape in 2 ways and can fly any way they want. This little guy having an obvious front was extremely nice and made it easier to control and wrap my mind around. It looks good, and has a good build quality, as well. It handles well for a beginner drone, but if you want to do any really extreme tricks or zoom around things with a lot of precision, you won’t be able to. It has a few different buttons for various tricks (which are fun), but you can’t do those tricks by yourself, which is a bit disappointing (with the controller, there isn’t enough thrust or turn speed to do a flip or the leap-frog trick, you can only do it by pushing the stunt buttons).Pros:-good toy for the price-simplified charging is a relief-very good for a beginner at this agility level-50 minute charging time was accurate-sturdyCons:-Only 5 minutes of flight time, and last 1 minute is filled with the remote beeping obnoxiously at you to warn you of the low battery-You can only do more elaborate stunts by pushing a stunt button instead of figuring it out on your ownOverall:-An extremely good toy for beginners who just want to get their mind around drone flying. Probably good for kids, but if you’re an adult, the fun will wear off quickly when you hit its performance limit.______________________My rating system:5 Stars: Blew my mind, excellent.4 Stars: Really good.3 Stars: Average, nothing to write home about.2 Stars: It has some problems.1 Star: I don’t like it and wouldn’t get it.

Son Loves
Got this for my 13-yr-old son for Christmas and he loves it. It’s been 3 months now and he has no complaints. It’s small but effective. It charges easy and quick and seems to hold a charge long enough for his fun.

Great potential, missed.
The good:The pre-programmed stunts that this can do are pretty neat! I’ve not seen that before. It was pretty fun to do the stunts at the tap of a button.Charging time wasn’t terribly long, though I didn’t actually time it.The bad:No interchangeable battery. Once the battery is drained you have to plug in the drone itself to charge. Fun, delayed.Drift. This thing is constantly drifting one way or another. It does have ‘trim’ adjustments to correct for this but I didn’t find them to actually correct the issue.SLOW horizontal flight. It does have the fast mode, but the regular mode is unbearably slow. So slow that I couldn’t even fly it 30 feet back to myself. It was moving forward at like 1 foot per minute. Then the battery died and it fell in my neighbors yard. For the current $40 I’d spend my money elsewhere.

Kind of crappy
We had trouble with this drone. It flew really unevenly and didn’t seem to maintain a constant communication with the remote very well, so it seemed almost jittery, if that makes sense. It’s not our first drone, so while we are not pros, we’re familiar with how to operate these smaller toy-type, and this is the worst one I’ve used in essentially every way.Poor controls, poor flight, and the battery life was a joke, too, so all in all, just pretty disappointed.

Really fun and easy to fly micro drone.
I love this little micro drone. It is really easy to get started, responsive, and durable. I was able to fly it anywhere in the house without issues. Crashes will happen but have left no damage to my drone. I would not try to use the drone outside. It’s so tiny, I’m afraid I’d loose it. I am usually able to fly at about 10 minutes on a charge so it’s pretty efficient too. Once my grandchildren are old enough, I would consider this a good trainer.
