Great product
We installed this because our utility company is fairly unreliable. It has been nice to be able to plot and track voltage, wattage, amperage, and costs. Fantastic product, My Phone only criticism is I wish the came with two sets of mains current sensors. But it works well overall for what I need. Product is being used in Arizona.

Quality product…
There are several things to consider with this product…1) Do do feel comfortable working on an open electrical panel?2) Do you know what all of your breaker wires are connected to?3) Is your service panel accessed from the inside or outside of your house?4) Will you be installing this inside the service panel?5) Is your service panel already full of wires?I won’t address all of these questions, but you should be able to answer them on your ownIf you are installing this in the service panel, expect to run ethernet to the panel as only a lucky few will be able to get a WiFi signal through the service panel.Installation will take time, but I suggest testing the unit before you start re-arranging the wires in your service panel.I ordered this to add to my service panel that is connected to a Tesla Solar and Battery install. What I have found is that the Tesla marketing claims for how long 4 Tesla Power walls can run a house is overly optimistic. Instead of getting my amp meter and measuring each breaker, I will use this to see how much power is being drawn by each circuit.

Great whole home energy monitor (it’s a re-badged Emporia Energy Vue gen 3)
I recently installed a subpanel in my house to be able to install a Level 2 charger for an electric vehicle that we’re getting. My main breaker panel is a Siemens panel, so we went with a Siemens sub-panel too. So, when this popped up, I was really interested to see Siemens offering a whole home energy monitor.Turns out that this is a re-badged version of the Emporia Energy Vue (3rd generation) energy monitor. I know all about their monitors, because I installed their 2nd gen energy monitor about a couple years ago after we installed solar panels. I wanted a way to independently monitor the power that the solar panels were generating and thought it would be cool to see how we were consuming electricity too.For the most part, the Emporia 3rd gen monitor that this Siemens monitor is a clone of is just a refinement of the 2nd gen; the form factor is a little different, and perhaps the biggest difference is that this monitor lets you cut the individual circuit monitoring clips to shorter lengths, which can help keep the rats nest in your panel to a minimum. Otherwise the functionality is the same. In fact, since I have the Emporia Energy app for my 2nd gen monitor, I was able to add this Siemens monitor directly to my Emporia app and it recognized it as if it was an Emporia-branded monitor. If you like to geek out on how your energy is consumed, want to be able to verify that the utility company is actually charging you for the correct amount of electricity, or want to be able to see how time of use rates affect (or will affect) your bill, this is a great device with a great service. The Emporia app that I use (and I’m sure the Siemens app is just a re-badged version of the Emporia app–I didn’t bother downloading it because I don’t need to separate apps) is very intuitive and easy to use.I’m going to connect this Siemens monitor to my Emporia monitor so that I can monitor even more circuits. And to make things even better, the Level 2 charger we’re installing is from Emporia too, so that information will show up in this app and the app will be able to do things like only charge the car when we have excess solar energy. And since the Siemens monitor is the same as the Emporia monitor, you can use this with Emporia’s Level 2 charger as well.

Use your phoneâs camera to scan this unique QR code to: ⢠Download the Siemens Inhab Energy app ⢠Access the installation guide ⢠Read important saftey information. ⢠Start setup process. – No working, no permits.

Excellent energy monitor
This is actually a relabeled new Vue – and works with all of those integrations as-is. Excellent smart home energy monitoring solution. Installs easily, with proper precautions. Track whole home or circuit level usage, calculate energy costs, etc. Excellent product

I wish I had this years ago!
Bought a new house and remodeled it, which involved making some changes to the panels. The timing was perfect when this popped up, since we haven’t moved in yet and could afford extended power-off times while I installed this. Not having installed one before, it took a while to research the install and get everything ready. Connecting the sensors are pretty straightforward… the difficult part is cable management and trying to tuck everything away inside the panel. The app is user friendly and gives a plethora of information about the power usage around the house. I haven’t set up any alarms or usage alerts, yet, but they’re next in my list before we move in. I haven’t realized how useful a product like this could be and integrate nicely into a “smart home” setup. Don’t let the photos showing bird nests made out of cables distract you… it’s doable! Highly recommended!

Shares cloud space with another brand
I have several houses where I need to monitor power usage. While setting up the Inhab Energy app, it complained that I already had an account. Turns out it is the same cloud space as another brand I already have. Both brands show up in each other’s app. It also automatically showed up in my HomeAssistant via the Emporia integration. Win! While I mainly use HomeAssistant, the app is pretty good at showing graphs and managing the CTs.The only con I have is that the CTs for this brand are huge compared to the other two brands I have.Note that installing these is a challenge due to the high voltage and spaghetti of wires (see the picture).
