Smonet Smart Front Door Lock – Great lock, even better customer service
When I was in need of a new front door lock, I decided to step into the world of smart locks. The Smonet Smart Front Door Lock caught my eye, and I’m delighted that I gave it a try. The process of downloading the app and pairing the lock was remarkably straightforward, providing a sense of reassurance about its ease of use.The app’s functionality and the lock’s capabilities through the app are truly impressive. The ability to assign unique codes to each user, with the added flexibility of customizing them to work within specific time frames, is empowering. The fingerprint setup was a breeze and performed admirably.The electronic deadbolt functioned perfectly AFTER a quick fix. At first, it did not lock or unlock properly (yes, I had fresh batteries). I emailed the manufacturer/customer service, and they responded quickly with a series of steps to troubleshoot the problem. When that did not work, they requested a video of the malfunctioning lock. Immediately, they were able to identify the problem and provide the correct solution. The deadbolt is now in excellent working condition. Elaine (customer service) was patient, polite, and professional. Despite the time difference, I was able to get my issue resolved within 48 hours of my initial complaint. The fingerprint sensor is actually what prompted me to purchase the Smonet Smart Front Door Lock. It is very responsive and super easy to set up. This is a wonderful option for older users who may have difficulty remembering the number combination for the code.Overall, this is a great product for the price. I have been genuinely happy with it and even more so with Smonet’s customer service. I definitely will check out their other products.

Great product, great service
It’s always feels like a bit of a roll of the dice when purchasing something that has an electronic component, a mechanical component, and an app that goes with it. In this case, it was a good purchase. This is being written 3 months after we purchased it.The app: Pairing it to the app was easy. I was surprised by the functionality of the app and what could be done with the lock through the app. We had contractors going in and out of our house while we were not there, and we were able to assign each one a separate code and know when they were showing up. The fingerprint configuration was easy and works well. The app is stable and we have not had any issues doing what we need to do with it. My only complaint with the app is that it apparently requires you to be within 6 feet of the door to “remotely” unlock it, even though we also have the WiFi G2 Gateway. I wouldn’t exactly consider that “remote” unlocking. I would have expected that with it also connected to the WiFi gateway that the door could be unlocked from anywhere that has Internet service. If this is possible, I’ll update my review if I figure out how to do it.The electronic deadbolt: This has functioned perfectly, although you do need to make sure the deadbolt latch doesn’t rub against the edge of the strike plate too much or it won’t be able to lock electronically. The fingerprint sensor is a big time-saver, since it’s much quicker to unlock the door using the fingerprint sensor than by typing in a code. The only thing I don’t like is the style of the keys on the keypad. You have to press firmly on the keypad for each number, and if someone who has never used the lock needs to lock it on their way out, there’s nothing identifying how to lock it (pressing the keypad to activate the keypad then holding down the “#” key for 2 seconds is not very intuitive). However, this was not significant enough to deduct any stars on the overall rating.The handle: We initially had an issue with the handle not fully pulling in the latch to open the door. We emailed the manufacturer and sent them a video of the issue. They responded right away, asked a few questions about the issue, determined that it was a defective unit, and shipped us a new handle. We installed the replacement handle and it works great now.Overall this is a great product for the price and we’ve been super happy with it and with Smonet’s customer service. We’ve ordered another electronic deadbolt for another door now that we know this one works well.

Wonderful lock
I love this lock. I love using the fingerprint to enter. So easy and quick. Iâm delighted every time I enter the house! One thing to note, when first pairing, you have to be next to the lock and you have to touch the keypad to light it up otherwise the app canât find the lock. Seems logical now but it wasnât at the time. I called support and they were very helpful.I love the app, too. You have control over everything including the lock sound. You can turn it off or keep it low. I didnât like the door handles that came with the lock so I used a plain round door knob instead. Better!Iâve only had the lock installed for about 2 weeks but so far, so good. The battery power is still at 100% so they last a long time. Iâm very happy with this lock. Delighted!

Highly versatile!!! Looks beautiful!
Set up was easy and the directions are great! What I love about this product is that you have options – a key, an IC card(fob), fingerprint, or just type in the code. No more hiding a key outside ! If a family member shows up or needs to get in my house they can I input the code on the key pad. Also itâs so beautiful ! It looks so great and sophisticated. I wish we did this sooner! I absolutely love this ! Worth every penny because the quality is so good! (Unfortunately my door needs to be painted so it does not give the lock justice – ) I highly recommend this!

Quiet device
Easy to install and connect. Great quality. The customizable on amount of time auto lock and thumb print are my favorite features. Kids are frustrated with the auto lock because they canât just run in and out all day, they have to stop get the door to open which has irritated them enough to not want to run in and out with their friends which I love!The only one down fall that I did not like is that it does not connect to the built in gateway hub in eero. I also wish the voice prompts were on the inside, not just the outside. It unlocks so smoothly and quietly that if I didnât have a Ring connected to Alexa letting me know someone was at the front door, I would never know someone was coming in.
