TempaComp has a thermometer and compass, all on one handy carabiner. Easily attach it to your pack, jacket, keychain, or wherever you might need it. From hiking and camping gear to backpacking and climbing, the TempaComp is the perfect accessory for your adventure. Just clip and go! The ball compass is readable at any angle and displays both cardinal points and direction of travel. Thermometer reads down to -20º Fahrenheit (-30º Celsius). Not for load-bearing use. NOTE: Do not use the side card for general orientation purposes. Doing so will cause readings to be off by 180°.
Large Ball Compass – Easy to read ball compass shows two readings. Look directly down on the top (smaller card) of compass to view general orientation cardinal points. Hold compass up to eye level and view larger side card for “direction-of-travel” compass.
Easy-to-Read Thermometer – Cushion-mounted thermometer provides an “at-a-glance” temperature. Thermometer reads down to a chilly -20°F or -30°C. Perfect for outdoors, camping, backpacking, or hunting.
Handy Carabiner Clip – Carabiner allows you to clip TempaComp onto any gear of your choice. From hiking and camping gear to backpacking and climbing, the TempaComp is the perfect accessory for your adventure. Just clip and go!
Split Ring Included – TempaComp comes with a split ring so you can attach to your zipper or keychain. One of the essential EDC survival accessories for outdoorsmen/women, hunters, or boy scouts.
Note: DO NOT USE THE SIDE CARD FOR GENERAL ORIENTATION PURPOSES. DOING SO WILL CAUSE READINGS TO BE OFF BY 180°
Customers say
Customers like the value for money of the navigation compass. However, some have reported issues with the build quality, accuracy, and readability. They mention that it’s very cheaply built, the temperature numbers are hard to read, and the scale is too tiny. Opinions are mixed on the functionality, direction, ease of clipping, and size.

KEPT MY WIFE FROM GETTING LOST IN THE WOODS!!!
I mean, she stayed on the trail… but she still could have gotten lost and I’m happy she had her handy dandy compass!

Good compass; not-so-good thermometer
I couldn’t rate accuracy and easy-to-read above, because it depends on which functionality you’re talking about. The compass is easy to read and accurate. But the thermometer is so tiny I struggle to read it. I generally don’t carry a magnifying glass when hiking! The thermometer also reads at least 4° too warm, so I’ll have to mentally subtract degrees whenever I look at it.

Inaccurate, Tiny, Cheap
Compass seems to work okay, although it’s not immediately clear how to read it, which requires you to ignore the larger, external letters and focus on the smaller internal ones. The thermometer is wildly inaccurate. It is currently reporting a temperature of approximately 90 degrees Fahrenheit in my 70 degree apartment on a 66 degree day.I purchased to replace a carabiner I use to hold my keys; the one I have is climbing-grade and works very well, hooking into one of my belt loops easily. This construct, on the other hand, mounts the ball compass on the same side that the latch opens, meaning you can’t actually fit anything more than a few millimeters wide into the opening. As such, I cannot get it onto my belt loop.I had a pretty low expectations, and yet I am still thoroughly disappointed.

Very fragile
Pretty fragile, had it for less than 2 weeks. Didn’t put any type of strain on it & the thermometer fell out, it wouldn’t have been such a big deal if I found it and glued it back in.

Works great for kayaking
I use it attached to a Kayak. It works really well. Some things to note about magnetic compasses like this. Itâs designed to be viewed from behind or on top of. There is a picture in a review with it pointed in the right direction, but the guy didnât know how to view it.You also have to be careful when you use a compass in a car or on a keyring. In a car you have to figure out where the car wonât interfere with it. If you use it on a keyring, you have to take it off the keyring if you have steel or magnets on the keyring, or use keys and rings made out of aluminum, titanium, or plastic. That wonât interfere with it. I have sadly made all these mistakes in the past with various compasses.

hard to read
Large bubble, not displayed on compass makes it hard to read. Pictures show small ring, not what I received. Also you can not return this without going through the manufacture.

Muy buena la calidad del material con el que esta hecha, se me ha caÃdo y a soportado los impactos, funciona muy bien, aunque en el termómetro no he visto que haga un cambio significativo. PodrÃa recomendarlo cómo regalo para algún ser querido.

Clips onto my manbag so I never get lost. I also took it on a cruise ship when we went to Norway, and it proved it’s worth! The captain made an announcement one day, “Ladies and Gentlemen, we are having issues with the ship’s navigation system, the magnetic compass is not functioning. Does anyone by chance own a compass they could bring to the bridge so we can navigate safely?” Obviously, I took this compass to the captain, and he was very grateful. I’m sure I saved hundreds of lives that day.NB: one of the above facts is true.

I bought this product for check temperature during my hikings. It’s accurate, but quite small, hard to see the scale. All over it’s a good product especially if someone use the compass as well.
