Excellent Exerciser
I used this Sunny exerciser every day for about a month before writing this review and the more I use it the more I like it. The pedal mechanism is silky smooth, the main resistance motor is silky smooth, itâs totally quiet, the resistance level is easy to set and it actually is very cool looking. Itâs kind of on the heavy side but the weight makes it rock steady and it stays put, never moves or shakes. Though one month is a little soon to be sure, it looks and feels extremely sturdy and should last a long time trouble free. Overall this is an excellent exercise machine a bargain at the price.

Very Impressive!
I just received this today, (6-8-24) and I already can tell how much that I like this machine.I am 71 years old, 5′-11″, 190 lbs., I used to be in good shape but not doing as much as I used to, I have gotten to where my joints hurt when I squat, up and down. I used to also exercise, but I stopped that, I am REALLY hoping that this will get me to at least get enough cardio (I know, very little) to get up and get on my treadmill.Anyway, as soon as I got it, I started pedaling away, it is as effortless as one could ever hope, too. I pedaled for probably 20 minutes while I was online reading, and when I stopped, I was surprised.I could feel that it was working on my thighs and my calf areas, it wasn’t like I did a strenuous workout, b ut I could feel that the blood was being pumped into places that it forgot all about! :)When starting, I did find out that by pedaling like a bicycle, that felt awkward, so I started pushing the ‘pedals’ forward, rather than trying to push them down as I would on a bike.If that doesn’t make sense, just know to try different ways, you’ll get a feel for it, I’m sure. So, with that said, with it being right underneath my computer desk, which I actually have the room for, I can’t see that I would not use it. I mean, I’d have to REALLY be lazy to come up with an excuse to avoid it, like I am known to do.Using it, I wondered if it was going to slide, but on carpet, it doesn’t, I have not used it on tile. If it does, I would suggest to place a small rug underneath. It does have rubber feet on the bottom, so I am pretty sure it won’t slide on tile or slicker flooring. The new faux wooden flooring is usually actually kind of ‘grippy’, so it should work out well on that. It’s as quiet as they say, it makes ZERO noise as far as i can tell.Like I said, it’s effortless when pedaling, I have it on the easiest because starting out on the HIGH was just not as fun. It’s not like I am a doddering old man type, it’s just that I have gotten lazy, that’s all.So, as time goes on I am sure that I will creep up the tension, or, not, it really probably doesn’t matter.I mean, on the least tension is fine, it still gives you a slight bit of cardio, even barely pedaling, it’s not much, but it’s more than I’d get sitting here not doing anything.I can see this is perfect for older people, I mean, it’s as easy as you can get, and, it will get the job done. The main thing that it is slightly heavy for older people, I didn’t have any trouble, but if a person has a bad back or knees, or, whatever, they may need someone to help them get it in the PERFECT place and then just leave it there.Anyway, a long story short, I don’t foresee any problems with the machine itself, but if something does come up, I will update this.

It’s ok, but could be better.
Just received this and I’m writing this review on day 2.First day was basically unpacking, reading manual and trying the peddler out so as to adjust it for my capabilities. ( I have arthritis in my hips and limited range of motion )During unboxingsetup, I saw they included a battery, so naturally, I thought I have to install it. I removed the readout housing, thinking to just turn it upside down, and install the battery. If only it were that simple. My attempt at this resulted in the wire connecting this came unattached. The wire is very short, too short, about 1 inch allowance for replacement of the battery. It took me 5 minutes to get it connected again. Not acceptable as there is space under the readoutbattery compartment for a longer wire, that makes accessing this area more convenient.2nd thing I was a little disappointed in was the adjustment of the difficulty in the settings. I was expecting that at the lowest setting (1), that it would be close to free spinning, very low resistance. Not the case, as noticeable effort is required, even at this setting.3rd is the angle of the foot pedals. When you pedal this, it requires more heel of your foot instead of the ball of your foot, witch I think would be more favorable due to the angle of the pedals, and less chance of foot slipping forward. I’m not a physical therapist, so maybe this design is less stressful. The unit is light weight, around 25 pounds, making it easy to move, for most people.Minimal space is required for storage, about 2 square feet and 18 inches height.Stability on carpet was excellent. No sliding and no side rocking of the unit during use. Haven’t tried it on other surfaces, so your results may vary.Update 01 924Having used this daily, for over one week now, I have noticed a couple things that might be beneficial for some users. The closer the device is to you, uses more ball of foot to pedal. (It also aggravated my knee more), as compared to having the unit farther away, which required more of a flatter foot and heel effort to pedal. I’m sure that the height of your chair also effects this as well.I’m getting better at the peddling rhythm, but it isn’t smooth at a slow speed. (I have it set a 1, lowest resistance). For me, it slightly bangs my heel during the rotation, nothing drastic, but it does causes a more uneven tempo while peddling. The first 2 days, I was curious about the readout display but found it impractical for me. I can’t see it from my position while in use, and once you stop peddling, the left side of the readout only displays for a second or two, right side is a little longer, about 4 seconds. Seeing as I didn’t purchase this to see, calories burned, distance, or number of rotations, when the battery finally fails, I won’t be replacing it, due to my not using it and the hindrance of the connection wire, I mentioned previously.I still give this 4 stars for now, as it is a convenient little machine to get some exercise on.

I have been pretty much a couch potato for the last fifteen years. Not that I was lazy but due to one medical condition on top of another. I just finished a two year bout of weeping edema where if I didn’t remain in my recliner with my legs propped up, my legs would weep profusely. Just recently I was diagnosed with Osteoporosis. Ha! Surprise, surprise! My doctor suggested I return to the care of my friendly physiotherapist Sandy. It was during my appointment with Sandy that she suggested I get one of the sit down Elliptical Machines. So after scouring Amazon (my favorite shopping mall) I found the Sunny Health and Fitness Portable Elliptical Machine. The price was reasonable and it looked as though it was durable and would also do a good job for me. Plus it has been years since I have been able to do any sort of exercises so if I didn’t stay with the exercise program, I wouldn’t be out hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of dollars. The machine arrived the next day! Thank you Amazon! Well, the first day exercising was extremely difficult and painful for me. I was on the machine for two minutes. TWO MINUTES! and I had to take three breaks! But I was determined to give this little gizmo a decent try. So everyday I committed to sitting at the machine and forcing my legs to move. By the end of the first week, I was exercising three times a day for five minutes each time ( with breaks in between of course.) It’s hard to explain what this machine has done for me. Not only was I actually exercising but my spirits were climbing in leaps and bounds. I actually look forward to exercising now. I just started week three yesterday and I am on this wonderful, miracle preforming machine, doing ten minutes without stopping to rest, three times a day and my husband has increased the tension up one notch.. I FEEL WONDERFUL!!! My feet and ankles don’t hurt. My legs don’t hurt and my back has only minimal discomfort. This little machine is going to give me back my life! My husband had to help me on and off the machine the first week but since then, I do it all myself, which means even my balance has improved. I know some of you might think I’m exaggerating, but I’m not. I have made a promise to myself that come September 2022, when I celebrate my 81st birthday I will be dancing with my hubby on some dance floor somewhere, or maybe just out on the street in front of our home. Either way…I will be dancing! As always, thank you Amazon and a big thank you to Sunny Health and Fitness for this wonderful, wonderful machine. For all you short folks out there this machine might take some getting use to. Because of the Osteoporosis I now stand a whopping 4ft 9inches tall (I use to be 5’2”) so my hubby and I really worked to find a comfortable distance between my chair and the machine, but once we found it he put a small piece of clear tape on the floor to mark exactly where the front legs of my chair should be when I am getting ready to use the machine. My legs are very short but I kept working to find the right spot for me to reach the foot pedals comfortably. The machine is quite heavy so I had my hubby place it off to the side of the TV and I will just leave it there, forever. 😉 I now just pull a kitchen chair in whenever I am ready to do my exercises. One major thing that has happened to me is I am not having to use my cane 24 – 7 anymore. Again, my balance is improving. and my pain is diminishing. So five stars all around for Amazon and for Sunny Fitness for making this wonderful, wonderful machine. available to us and another five stars for me!!! I now love to exercise! Whoo Hoo! Happy peddling everyone!

The best little exercise machine I’ve ever bought! I’ve already lost 13kg and am closer to my goal weight than ever before. Getting in my 10,000 daily steps has never been so easy. My only issue is that you should be prepared to lubricate it every few months!
