11 year old niece loved it
Gave this to her for her birthday, and she made one of the recipes on the same day.Well explained, detailed, and age appropriate. It’s a great experience for kids to make something themselves, from scratch, and have it turn out well. Very confidence-building.

Great for any aspiring young chef!
Got this for our 9 year old and he absolutely loves it! Great recipes.

7 year old loves it
I’m baking from this cookbook with my 7 year old. Its colorful layout and selection of recipes is very appealing to her. The thumbprint cookies, chocolate snack cake, and layer cake all turned out beautifully. The pumpkin pie was so-so (it uses gelatin–interesting!). The sprinkle buttercream recipe was terrible, like eating pure butter (we were able to correct it). The recipes are fussier than I use for day to day baking, e.g. calling for cake flour or using lots of dishes and appliances, but perhaps they are the “proper” techniques!? Overall, it’s a nice way for my 7 year old to pick recipes to try and to become confident in the kitchen.

Fun for young bakers
My son loves the recipes that are easy to make and easy to assist if I need to. We just made the brownies, and I’ll never buy boxed brownies again. So delicious and he was so proud.

Great and informative book for kids!
I wasn’t sure about this book but gave it a try! When we received it, I found the book very informative, clear and concise! I saw some recipes in the book that I would like to try but I had to wrap it up since it is a birthday gift for a 8 year old granddaughter!
