One of the best
One of the best seasons out there and I am so happy I own it now. Loved it start to finish and totally recommend it.

very hard to find
This season 5 of GBBO is very hard to find. There was one copy available from a reseller for about $250 – really? Then a copy popped up from another reseller for $39..99 which is what a new copy of other GBBO seasons 1-5 go for and I grabbed it to complete my collection of the 5 older seasons that are no longer streaming on Netflix. I love all the seasons of GBBO, including the ones streaming, but the first 5 with Mary Berry judging, along with Mel and Sue are very special. The music is amazing, the contestants wonderful. I don’t know of any baking show more enjoyable to watch and am grateful to have the DVDs of the older shows.

The quality of this DVD is quite annoying as it skips and freezes quite a bit. But the show is so perfect it’s worth the hassle.

Entertaining and I got some really good baking tips. The hosts are funny and the two judges are fun to watch. The contestants are very likable, and you really root for them.

3rd disk doesn’t work – season currently streaming on roku
Like many others in the 1 star review, I found that the 3rd disk has a manufacturing error so is labeled correctly but the content is a repeat of disk 2.The seller, Sparky Media 2023, was wholly unhelpful – shame on them.For others, this season is currently streaming on Roku, so hopefully no need to give this bad company more of our money.

Most Polite and Fun TV Competition Ever!
I love the funny and clever contestants and they are so polite even when powering through baking disasters! Sue and Melanie are hilarious with their equally clever and terrible puns. The double entendres made by these two never fail to make me laugh. Paul and Mary take everything with no small measure of grace and it’s lovely to see a competitor earn the coveted, “Hollywood handshake.” The creations make my mouth water and you really begin to like the last 6 or so competitors and I’m glad I don’t have to judge the work of the many fine and ethnically diverse bakers. I look forward to Season 6!
