what a relief
Like anyone reading this review, I was trying to figure out if this battery really works for my Roomba, whether the fact that it’s cheaper than a couple batteries on Amazon meant that it’s low in quality, and whether it takes an engineering degree to install the thing. Well, I’m delighted to report that for MY Roomba (model 655, which might be a model number particular to Costco, but I think it’s the same as any of the 650 series), it is working great. My old battery was only holding a charge for like two minutes. With the new battery, my Roomba has been going for like an hour, and the light is still green. And I only charged it over night after installing the battery. To install it, you flip the Roomba over, take out the four screws on the bottom and take out the screw that holds the little pinwheel-shaped brush on the bottom…then you lift up that plastic plate. The old battery just lifts out. There’s no adhesive or tricks or wires to disconnect. Nothing involving a circuit board. No flimsy or delicate parts. I took the opportunity to clean out the inside (it was dusty), and just dropped the new battery into place. The shape only fits into the spot one way. Again, there’s no adhesives. The tape-shaped things on the side are apparently just to aid in lifting the battery out. Boom. Put the four screws and the pinwheel brush back on, and I put it on the charger overnight. Perfect. I’ll edit this review if the battery fails after an unreasonable amount of time, but if there’s no edit, it means everything went well for months or years after I installed the new one. So enjoy!

Very Easy to Install and Works Great for a Low Price!
So far I’ve had the new battery in my 5 year old Roomba for 3 weeks and my old machine now runs like new and lasts over 90 minutes on a charge. Over the years, the old battery was down to less than 5 minutes of operation and ran very slow. I would also recommend replacing rollers and filters on your old machine as well. I found a very inexpensive kit here with all the rollers and 3 brushes and 3 filters for under $20. Most fit as well as the original parts. We’ll see if they last as long…

Make sure charging terminals on dock are clean!
Crapped out after about 5 uses. Today is april 27 and our return window ended april 24. Can seller issue replacement?Thanks Steve and Nancy LineUpdate: 5/2/19I contacted ac doctor and they are sending a replacement. Ill update this to 4 stars from 1.Update 5/11/19Received the replacement a week or 2 ago. On the first use, the roomba got stuck on some carpet and ended up dying. The battery was dead and will not recharge. Changed rating from 4 stars back to 1. Customer service has been good but 2 bad batteries is not good. Perhaps there is something wrong with our roomba. Will probably try a battery from a different company unless AC Doctor wants to send a 2nd replacement.Update 5/15/19:AC Doctor send me a refund. Excellent customer service. They didn’t require me to send them the two dead batteries. Upgrading rating to 2 stars because of excellent customer service. They were really nice.Update 5/18/19:My apologies to ac doctor. We bought a third battery from a different supplier which worked fine after we jiggled the roomba on its charging dock. I looked closely at the terminals and saw black dirt on the terminals. Scraped it off with fingernails and roomba charged fine with new battery. Tested ac doctor batteries after cleaning the terminals and they both charged up and work fine. I owe ac doctor 2 batteries and this review.

Been working well and to full capacity for months
With three Roomba robot vacuums in the house they do tend to go through batteries. I have purchased the absolutely cheapest and had 7-9 months of good use and I have purchased am iRobot replacement and had 9-10 months of good use before the moderately quick degradation and death.This was not the least expensive batter but pretty thrifty. It goes into the iRobot vacuums that require you to unscrew a plate before inserting it inside. That takes all of one minute once you have done it. Perhaps 2 minutes for the absolute novice.Follow all instruction and charge the thing for at least 24-hours before turning the Roomba on. Also, if you can find instructions for which buttons to press to Reset Power Manager in the vacuum, do that. It will help extend the lifetime of most of these batteries. (Generally these may be found on Youtube)

I thought my roomba a was DUNZO! Turns out all it needed was a new battery. Install was quick and easy once you figure out how to do it. Now my roomba works like new!

Good replacement for Roomba 655
I ordered this to replace the original battery in the Roomba 655 that I bought from Costco several years ago. It was very easy to replace — the battery fits perfectly into the compartment. I’ve had the battery installed for a little over a month now. I have the Roomba scheduled to run every weekday. It usually runs for about 1-1.5 hours before returning to its docking station to charge. There has been one incident where the Roomba got “lost” and wasn’t able to return to its dock before the battery ran out, and I think it had been running for around two hours at that point.So far, for the price, it’s a great replacement and has given my old Roomba a new lease on life!

Good value works well with older 700 model.
I was cautious about buying a off brand battery for my older 700 series Roomba.I bought this one. Based on good reviews. It arrived quickly and I changed the battery out, unit came back on right away, no resetting only the date and time because of loss of power. I used it right away, only went for an hour but i saw other reviews about draining it then full charging it. The next three uses it didnt seem like it ran long or at full power I also took into account i hadn’t run my roomba in a long time, after those first intial charges it came back to its full power and runs great. This was a great buy and great value.

Battery doesn’t last long
This was a replacement for my original Roomba battery. It arrived on time and was easy to install. It worked well for the 1st month and my cleaner would run for at least an hour Now it runs for about half an hour before the light indicates the battery will soon need to be charged.There are original batteries sold thru the Roomba site so despite the fact they’re more expensive it will be worth it if my vacuum runs longer.
