    Covers a lot of bases!
This book covers a lot of info on staying safe. My plan is to break down the different info on each page, and do separate lessons (homeschooling preK and special needs) on safety, as multiple types of safety are covered on each page. This book is an excellent overview of various ways to stay safe. I did not expect such a small book to cover so many bases.

    Helpful for encouraging safety discussions
TLDR: For the price, definitely get it.Pros: It emphasizes safety in various settings/environments (i.e. kitchen safety, but also party safety-something that wouldn’t readily come to mind, playground safety, etc.)- It wisely included a nod to emotional/mental health/even possible abuse prevention (i.e. “Don’t keep secrets that make you feel sad or worried.” It also tagged the next step to practically mention potential safe options, like a family member or police officer).-Cute illustrations, with people of various colors.- Good springboard for discussions.Cons: It’s a lot of info (which, granted, is also a pro, depending on how you look at it) for a small child (pre-school being the target age), which is semi- difficult for attention spans, per personal experience. If you want a story with a simple, flowing plot, this isn’t the book.- The publisher missed the mark by not going into more detail about fire safety, i.e. having a safety plan, exercising caution around the toaster and microwave (and any other kitchen gadgets like are fryer, Crock Pot, etc.)- No mention of washing hands after going potty, before eating, etc. In a sense, maybe not “safety,” per se, but basic good hygiene obviously promotes health and wellness, and therefore could’ve been mentioned. Especially at this age, where it’s germ city!- Could’ve alluded to staying with parents/CG’s, and never leaving the playground/store with someone besides family, what we in the olden days called stranger danger, but is more prudently noted today as tricky grown-ups.Overall: Even with what I’d consider a few omissions, two thumbs up!

    Great Educational Book
My daughter was the only one in her kindergarten class who knew what to do in case of a fire. There’s a lot of good info in this book, and my 2 year old and 6 year old enjoy it a lot.

Not a coherent story book, but it made good points
My almost 3 year old loves reading books. This was like reading a bullet journal to her on things to avoid doing, which helped a little on raising important topics but was not as palatable as a story might have been.
