Bought a few of these for our front porch and they really did help deter mosquitoes. I noticed you have to put the candle fairly close to where you are sitting to work well. The smell was nice. Light citronella w/o being overbearing. Lasted a long time too.

Love the nostalgic smell however, we still had bugs around us on the patio when it was lit.

Leaks wax and destroyed the tsble
The product leaked wax from the bucket because the joints of the metal are not crimped tightly enough. It destroyed the table that it was sitting on.Itbdidnt repel many insects either likely because there is very little citronella oil in the candle.Ineffectiveness and production defects result in this being a 1 star item.
