Lots of fun for kids
This is not a planetarium grade projector. The stars are not projected as pinpoints or in constellations for those that think it may be. The star images on the ceiling are large, five pointed stars in many colors and kids absolutely love it! With the cover on the globe, it can be used as a night light as well. I thought this was a great gift. The one thing that I feel it should come with and doesn’t is a small transformer so that you would be able to plug it into an outlet. What powers this unit is a USB plug meant to be plugged into a computer or laptop. But who wants to have a laptop next to their kids bed??? Silly of them not to include something that would allow plugging into a wall electric outlet. You also have to be pretty careful in putting the lid over the globe. It is made of very thin plastic and looks quite delicate.

Surprising but….
I bought this for my 5-year-old son. I didn’t realize how many color variations it has, which is nice. The lights are SUPER bright so, not something I use as a nightlight. It is small and lightweight and does feel cheap but, it takes up less room on the dresser and when it’s fallen off, it hasn’t broken. The top is just a flimsy film, like the thickness of construction paper. So, that’s a plus and a negative depending on perspective. Additionally, there is a solid plastic top that can go on it to tone down the light but, still not quite dim enough to be a nightlight for us. We still use it quite a bit because my son is light-sensitive and it’s the perfect brightness for him. He loves that the stars move, too! Overall, though it’s cheap-er than some of the other lights I’ve looked at that do the same thing, we like it! Only took down one star because it’s less quality than the way it looks in the picture.

Super cute idea and my daughter wonât go to bed without it now but itâs definitely not a durable item. The cord is really short and the top is flimsy but itâs $9 you get what you pay for. For the joy it brings her, Iâd buy a new one every month!
