These poles are lightweight, durable, and easy to use. They really make hiking so much easier– especially on inclined trails or rough terrain. I’m 50+ and pretty out of shape, yet I have been able to successfully hike trails in various national parks with the help of these poles– they have definitely saved my knees and kept me from falling in several occasions!

Helps to walk and feel secure
Only rated four stars because no instructions were included. Occupational therapist was able to find an online video. Came in a set of two, so easy to leave one at home and one in my vehicle. They are the same brand as the physical therapist used so I like the quality, sturdiness and adjustability. Good price for the set.

Portable, versatile and lock together
I had a pair of poles that came apart but were too long for my suitcase or back pack. I needed a 3 piece Found lots of choices and bought these. Not as large around so I was concerned. But turned out to be OK. Easy to assemble. Lock in place. Not loose. Good grip. Used for moderate hiking. Quickly break down for getting on bus or going inside. Packed in checked bag. Not sure if TSA would allow on plane. I would rebuy. Expect these to last awhile I used for walking on steep side walks , stairs , flat ground and over rocks. Provided good balance.

Worked great, sturdy.
Wife had surgery on her ankle a month before we went to Glacier, and these helped her limp all over in her waking boot … Several 10,000+ step hikes. I stole them and did a hike more or less straight up the side of a mountain. I’m fat, 5’10” 280#, and these were a great help especially coming back down the 2000′ drop steep trail with loose gravel. Very sturdy!! The other pair I have slides out, which is easier to assemble, but these fold smaller which is useful.

Height adjustment matters
“The height of the poles has adjustment range that fits for men, women, teenager with height between 5’2” (159cm) to 6’5” This is from the product details., and it is just plain wrong. I am almost 5’5″ in walking shoes/boots, and the pole at neutral is over 3″ too high. Instruction pic clearly states pole must be locked with the button pin (pic1). Pic 1 shows the difference between a locked and unlocked pole, right pole is locked but not extended, left is assembled pole without the locking extension. The height difference in pic1 is assembled without the locking part, really tightening the clamp. That is almost OK for me but means no additional adjustments and the sections can be pulled apart. I am returning these, and the 3 star is for everything else about the product. These are not for anyone shorter than 5’7″ I wonder how many of these get returned because the details and instructions are just a big pile of misinformation. Pic 2 is the extension above the locking pin. Good for tall people.
