I have a cat with chronic kidney disease whose blood pressure is high in a clinical setting, despite treatment with BP medications (this is very typical for cats). The vet wanted us to take her BP at home using a home BP monitor, but obviously we couldn’t use a human-sized cuff. I searched for veterinary cuffs, but these come in packs with a range of sizes, from elephant (not kidding!) to the small size we needed for a 5 lb. cat. I decided to try a neonatal pediatric cuff, since a newborn’s arm is about the circumference of a small cat’s leg. It worked! The only difficulty is finding a connector to the BP monitor; the connector is not included, and must be purchased separately. And there are about 100,000 different models, of which only one will fit your machine. But that’s a different issue for a different review.
