easy to use and cute.
Love the Vantamo Personal Alarm! Super loud, easy to use, and the strobe light and low battery alert are great features for added safety.

Better than She’s Birdie
This is the same kind of personal alarm as She’s Birdie (which I also had at one point), but there’s a big and important difference – the Vantamo alarm is rechargeable, and holds a charge for up to six months. The She’s Birdie alarm runs on batteries, which is a flaw in its design. First, when the batteries start to die, the alarm goes off incessantly until you change them. But here’s the bigger problem – it’s incredibly hard to get the back case off in order to change the batteries, you have to really force it, which winds up damaging the interlocking pieces. So don’t worry about changing the batteries in a She’s Birdie alarm – you’ll never be able to use it again, because you won’t be able to get the case back on. It’s useless after the first set of batteries dies, because you essentially have to break it to open it.That was the best thing about the Vantamo is that it’s rechargeable – which in this day and age, most electronic devices are rechargeable. And certainly something as important as a personal alarm to keep you safe should not only be rechargeable, but it should have a long recharge life, which this does. Other than that, it works exactly like the She’s Birdie – the alarm is loud, the strobe is bright, and it’s easily to fasten and unfasten to whatever bag, jacket or key ring you want to hang it from.Having had both, I would definitely recommend this one.

What are you doing for your personal security?
Today, you just canât be too safe. And depending on the restrictions of where you are at any given time, or your personal choices, there may not be a lot of choices. Smart watches give us a sense of security, but when weâre in danger we have to react quickly. This Vantamo Personal Alarm with Extra Loud Speakers is an excellent part of any personal safety kit. Itâs the best quality personal alarm Iâve seen. Itâs loud and the strobe is bright. The battery holds a charge for a long time and is easy to recharge with the USB cord (included). Itâs easily portable, and will fit in most pockets, and can be attached to a belt loop, lanyard or key chain. One pull and youâll startle your attacker. If you live in a state that the laws permit you to carry pepper spray and/or a taser, I recommend you buy those here at Amazon as well.

I already feel safer!
The mulberry color is gorgeous and exactly as pictured. Lightweight and works perfectly — very loud, and the strobe light is bright and attention-getting. The pin isn’t difficult to remove yet still requires a firm tug, so I don’t need to worry about it accidentally going off. I’m ordering more as we speak to give as gifts to both the women and men in my family.

Not as loud as I thought
Very nice product. Easy to charge, looks nice on key ring, bright light, alarm is loud enough to get someoneâs attention but not as loud as I thought and was hoping it would be. Your hand can easily cover the speaker and muffle the alarm just by holding the device if you arenât careful.

Does Exactly What It’s Suppose To Do
I was a bit concerned when I was ordering this alarm. Wasn’t convinced it would do the job well or even work. So glad I decided to get this alarm because it does a great job. It is relatively easy to set up and use. The alarm is loud, but not so loud that the ears won’t tolerate the noise. I charged it up (one of the perks to this alarm) and fastened it to my purse. Everything fit well and so far, thankfully, I haven’t needed to use it. I did, however, get the chance to hear exactly what it would sound like as I accidently set it off. Not my intention, as it slipped between a slotted bench seat and when I got up, there was enough force to separate the alarm from the pin. Loud??.. yes it was. I immediately reached for it on the ground, replaced the pin and my ears were happy once again. Gave the people around me a scare, but they understood as many had these on their purses. So, it definitely works, accident or not. For the safety, security and the ability to recharge the battery yourself, this is something all women and me should have on them for emergencies. Recommend this brand’s personal emergency alarm.

Wow…….loud
I bought this for my sister who has to park in dark casino parking garages in Las Vegas. This thing BLARES sound and flashing light that will appear louder in a parking garage. You can’t be too careful these days.

Makes me feel safer at night in the city. It’s Super loud and alarming, strobe light is strong too. I also like that the pin doesn’t accidentally come out, but isn’t difficult to pull either.

Merci !

I’ve never bought personal protection before (stop sniggering, I mean an alarm, not a prophylactic !). So I wasn’t sure what to look for. I wanted one that I could recharge, so I didn’t have to go hunting around for special CS145 (or whatever the other ones use) batteries, or for it to use AAA batteries that go flat too quickly.I also wanted one that I could attach to a rucksack, and would work if I yanked it off, but wasn’t too easy to accidentally trigger. This one fits the bill perfectly. The little pull-tag is attached to the chain, and clicks into the main body really snugly. It takes a little force to pull them apart, but they go together again easily. The shape makes it easy to find the fit and re-connect. But the best part is that it doesn’t come off /too/ easily. When you pull it apart, the thing makes an awful screeching alarm sound, and there’s a little twinkly LED that flashes on and off.The noise of the thing is immense at close range, and left my ears ringing at arms length. If someone was attacking me, and I clapped this onto their ears, they’d be in serious (and I do mean SERIOUS) pain. The flashy LED might be nice for the night-time, but it all but useless in the day. In a darkened alley it would make it easier for people to spot where you are and come to your aid, though, so that’s how I assumed you’d use it. I was surprised when it said it would “disorient” an attacker. mmmm.. maybe if you shoved it right in front of their eyes in a darkened alley, it’d blind them enough for you to insert your foot into their privates and give it toes…All in all, it’s a great little device. Works well, makes a lot of noise, and charges quickly.
