I like that the RED light has a separate switch as not to ratchet through the white light choices and destroy night vision in the field.I bought another one after evaluation. Good product at a good price.

Brightest Lantern Ever!
Wow! This head lantern will light up the entire house or yard! I bought this to use when I do astrophotography (using the red light option) and it works great along with the white light option! It will be extremely useful in case of a power outage!

This headlamp turned out great for my purposes, which is for setting up astronomy gear:- there are two buttons, one for white light and one for red light- so you can go straight to red light WITHOUT cycling through white before or after (so not blinding people), which is a problem for other lights- the brightness / power seemed just right, enough for me to see but not blinding (much) if I mistakenly aim it at someone’s face- strap and weight and such was fineI only wish it was USB rechargeable, but it could be that the AAA batteries will last long enough to not matter.

Used this torch during a 12 hour overnight obstacle course race.This torch was tested to its extremities, splashed (and on occasion submerged) with water and mud, and lasted all night, no matter what the night threw at it!! The torch also kept up with some well known torch brands with regards to how bright the torch can go also.The only thing which was my personal preference was that the headband could have been more comfortable, however due to how cheap it was for a twin pack or torches which survived the night, I cannot complain on this trade off.A superb bit of kit, which will last whatever the weather and whatever the use.

After the brown box first impression and you open the box I was pleasantly surprised with the two very light weight head lights.Simple instructions easy to read and once you adjusted the head strap to suit flip open the back and place the battery’s easy.You can tilt the light on its hinge to angle the beam down to show where you are going if you want.The light is very easy to turn you have two buttons on the top one for full beam the other for the red side lights. Couple of modes on each.I dropped a star as why two, why batteries not rechargeable. And price point £19 high.I have put one in the car ( batteries not in it ) snd the other in my rucksack.

I do a lot of both outdoor and indoor night time where its good to have a head torch, rather than the mainlights on. I like this one for the red and light switches and the easy cycling through the modes- though I got to say that there are modes on these things that you probably will never use. A flashing sos for example, you are far better off with a loud whistle on a mountain because your batteries will almost inevitably run flat long before anyone ever finds you. but I like this one for the separate red and white light switches- red light perfect for getting up in the night whilst camping or operation of radio or such like in a room or tent,
