Awesome kit and a great value!
Assembly took about 5 minutes and everything worked great! While this does come with everything you need to get started, I bought a RetroPie card to go with this just to make setup a lot easier and it all worked with almost no problems. Just had one minor issue with the HDMI cable not wanting to work but after a couple restarts and unplugging/replugging the cable, it worked fine.If you’re getting this for an emulation machine, the N64 games on the RetroPie card I got don’t run at full speed. There’s a tiny bit of slowdown, just enough to be noticeable, so I would keep my expectations in check. Everything before that era works great, though.

Pretty nice collection of Pi stuff
OK, I’ll say upfront that I’m not a fan of the controllers and the thumb drive died a sudden death while I was copying files on my PC.It’s still a little cheaper than buying all the pieces separately.The Ras Pi works (of course), the case works, the controllers work – I just don’t like the style and prefer an Xbox controller. And it was super easy to get up and running on Batocera.So, not a bad deal for the money and it all ends up working great. I know have a ridiculous array of retro systems and games and a friendly front-end to access them all.

I got this for Christmas for my 9 year old daughter. I don’t know who likes it more me or her. It was super fun to relive a big part of my childhood with my daughter. “Dad how are you so good at Super Mario?” I have never been happier that I wasted all that time on that game hahahaha! It is simple to set up if you are moderately tec savvy. Slim and sleek case with a retro look and feel. The only drawback of this thing is its in her room and not mine hahahaha!

A time machine worth every penny
I absolutely love this raspberry pi and plan on using it for a custom arcade cabinet. With that said, Iâve already got everything configured how I want it with all the games I want.One tip that is just a little bit of common sense is that if you would like to have as many games as you want then you may need to upgrade the SD card. With that said, I put just about every game I wanted all the way up to psx and Dreamcast with little to no issue (N64 is where I started running into performance and storage issues, although Iâm playing on a 4K tv so Iâm not sure if that effects performance)After downloading all the roms I wanted, testing them to make sure they work, scraping each game (adds info like developer, release year, original game art, etc), configuring controls, testing themes to find one I liked, and adding a start-up screen (instead of script showing), I put roughly 20-30 hours into perfecting it to my liking.I personally suggest not following the instructions that come with this product. I had a much easier time following YouTube tutorialsOne thing I absolutely love is the way you can just use WiFi to add or delete games using your IP address. Itâs so much easier than pulling out the SD card ever time you want to alter it. I 100% suggest this setup.My review is kinda all over the place but I hope this helps someone. Had issues, Vilros fixed the problem
Edit: I had issues, contacted Vilros directly and they sent a replacement case. Fan works like a champ, the hdmi cable was a little hit or miss. I sanded down the side of the case and it works so much better now. I might have gotten a cable with some additional material on it, who knows. It works now, just trying to figure out retro pi. As far as Vilros customer support goes I give them two thumbs up, told them my issue and gave them my Amazon order number and they sent me a case. No forms or having to talk to an RMA department or anything annoying like that. When I buy additional accessories I will buy from them again.Original: A little concerned about this kit. Trying to figure out why it wouldn’t boot into NOOBS. Turns out when I have the fan plugged into the pi the pi doesn’t boot…………. Don’t know if it is a power thing or a short in the fan……….. Next even after I unplugged the fan I couldn’t get a signal to the TV. Turns out the case doesn’t allow the hdmi cable to seat all the way in the plug. So it works great outside of the case, however inside the case it is a disaster. One of the reasons I bought this kit was the case, should have just bought the pie and controllers separately. I should mention pi, controllers, sd card, and included thumb drive (nice to have included thumb drive for adding ROMs) are great and seem to all be of good quality.

Retro Gaming Win!
I’m not very tech savvy and this was my first experience with Raspberry Pi but between the instructions provided in this kit and some googling I was able to get this running and it works great! I bought this for retro gaming for my kids and I during quarantine and am very pleased with the purchase. It takes some time and effort to get set up, but that was also part of fun, and was a good learning experience. The kit has everything you need except the games which you can get yourself and use the included USB stick to load onto the RP4. I’m satisfied with the quality of the parts, though did have an issue with one but contacted Vilros and they promptly resolved. Cool product, good service and support… win!
