Wellness Complete Health Lamb, Barley & Salmon Meal Recipe, 30-Pound
Amazing service- next day delivery, perfect condition. We’re Wellness CH subscribers & Prime members. Amazon saves us around $14-18 vs Petco delivery & we receive Amazon’s impeccable service plus Amazon supports our local Post Office, which we value. It’s also less for us to order and subscribe than it is for us to pick up at local Pet stores; around $10-12 plus gas in savings per 30lb bag. We use approximately 120lbs per month. With Amazon Subscription Service, we basically save the equivalent of a 30lb bag of Wellness. (Subscrip Serv: extremely easy to use; change your schedule if needed after 1st delivery. We weren’t sure how much to order the first time with what we had on hand. It’s completely hassle-free. Can’t beat Amazon’s subscription service for pet items.)
Wellness is the best dog food we’ve tried & we’ve tried the majority of ASPAC & Search/Rescue League recommendations, from BlueB to Orj; including Vet on-site recommendations like SD, etc. We have 3 large dogs. Our German Shepherd showed the most visible significant improvements: his coat, eyes, and flexibility in the first 5 weeks. He’s older and has hip/joint issues. We’ve also noticed how much better his teeth look, 9 weeks of use. If you have GS- you know what I mean. Bullmastiff/Boxer- showed improvements right away. Food tends to make mastiff’s sluggish. Now his energy is steady, he’s more playful, alert and his skin already looks great! His coat has a nice sheen to it, haven’t seen that for a while. (We’re in a dry climate- both B/B and GS have had periodic skin problems. Quality food matters. Biggest savings w/ quality pet food is on vet bills, esp long term.) The youngest is in heaven. He’s under a year; a rescue; Lab/Boxer/Bullie mix. Clearly loves this brand. It’s the only one he’s jumped up on the tray to eat before it’s poured. Our boys prefer lamb/salmon to other Wellness CH options. We use brown rice too but much prefer barley -packed full of omegas, vit’s, and minerals. I may update after their next Vet exam for other health improvements. After decades of loving & caring for dogs, there’s one thing that we (“owners”) can do to consistently contribute to their well-being: nutrition/food. Everything else is secondary; effected by their nutritional intake. Wellness CH – impressive, especially for a buck and change per pound- delivered to right to our door. Btw- the clean up is better. If you’ve tried different foods seeking healthier choices, you know how sometimes… a pressure washer is warranted regardless of how carefully you transitioned them. 😉 None of that TidyUp-Fail with this brand and they’re not, how shall I say? Running us out of the room like they have w/ other brands.
Wellness offers free samples. You can request free samples to see which flavor your dog prefers at WellnessPetFood . com. Wellness also answers personal questions in email, makes suggestions, and offers specials and coupons which are frequently honored via Amazon. There’s a “product selector” on their site to help you decide which nutritional blend would best serve your pet. (We used it to add Wellness CORE Grain-Free Ocean Formula to our Sr. German Shep’s dinner once summer starts & temps rise, we’ll add a mixture for him of CH and CORE.) Wellness site has plenty of information and nutritional data for you to make an informed decision. Highly recommend them and recommend saving money and hassle w/ subscription service.

    Veterinarian highly recommended
Wellness pet food is the finest quality pet food available, in my opinion, and I am a long time holistic veterinarian who uses it for my own pet, and for other pets in the past. Wellness foods are wheat, corn, soy, additive and preservative free. They are ideal holistic nutrition for healthy pets as well as pets needing a restricted diet for food sensitivities of any kind, and never include potentially problematic ingredients. This is the case with my beloved rescue dog who as a puppy had to have such a specific restricted healthy diet that if she ate anything else she would be vomiting and having diarrhea for a week, needing fluid therapy. As much as I didn’t like it, she had to be on constant medications and probiotics for her first couple years of life, before finally being healthy enough to be tapered off of these.. She initially was saved as a puppy from these repeated bouts of illness by Iams Prime Naturals and then Iams Sensitive Naturals, but when these became hard to find, after extensive research into nutrition and the available options, I found Wellness, and that has been what has kept her healthy and happy ever since. I liked the quality and standards of ingredients so much that I switched all my other pets including cats to Wellness as well.
Wellness does offer grain free versions also, but in my opinion and that of most veterinarians, grain free foods for pets are a fad with no real nutritional or biological basis, anymore than the fad in people. Dogs and cats are not wild animals and even cats are not obligate carnivores who eat no other types of foods besides meats. There is simply no scientific basis for this unfortunate fad, and I don’t believe these foods are as well balanced as the original formulations of a high quality top of the line holistic food like Wellness, which is tested and certified at every step of development and production for the health and well-being of the pets who will be fed this food. Sure, cheap pet food with corn and chicken by products are not healthy by any stretch of the imagination, but easily digested carbohydrates from healthy sources like barley and rice, and sometimes potato, are important for a well balanced diet for our pets and for the digestion and assimilation of all the good healthy nutrients in high quality foods like Wellness.
I will mention one more thing – even though there is a “small breed” version of this food, and I have a 20 lb dog, I feed her the regular size kibble because the pieces of the “small breed” are so small they are smaller than most cat food kibble. Larger pieces involve some chewing which is essential for dental health. Very few dogs would be small enough to need kibble that size. I personally buy it to use as treats for my dog because it is easy to use and she loves it, and it is very hard to find treats that meet the strict standards of quality needed to keep her healthy. Also, she has a treat-dispensing ball toy which can be set to a smaller opening for smaller pieces, and the “small breed” kibble fits perfectly into that toy for maximum enjoyment.
In summary, I can say that I as a holistic veterinarian prefer Wellness food to even proprietary foods sold only by veterinarians. I think the quality and the standards of their ingredients cannot be matched by any other food. I will always feed it to my dog,(but the regular kibble for her regular meals, not the “small breed”), for the rest of her life, and also to any other pets I acquire. And it’s good to have the “small breed” tiny kibble available to use for treats and her toys. Holistic nutrition when it leads to healthy high quality food such as this cannot be beat. Cannot highly recommend enough!!

It looks so tasty and nutritious
This product is awesome. It feeds my dog and makes him happy and healthy. It has high quality protein from chicken and wholesome grains like oatmeal. It has no meat byproducts, fillers, or artificial preservatives. It’s a complete and balanced diet for my dog.
The Wellness Complete Health Dry Dog Food has different flavors and sizes to choose from. You can find the one that suits your dog’s taste and needs. It’s made with natural ingredients and added vitamins and minerals. It supports your dog’s immune system, digestion, skin and coat, and energy.
The only problem is that sometimes I get too jealous of my dog’s food. It looks so tasty and nutritious that I want to try it myself. I wonder how it tastes like and if it’s good for me too. I even sneak a bite when my dog is not looking.
But hey, maybe that’s not a bad thing. Maybe I need to be more curious and adventurous with my food. Maybe I need some fun and excitement in my life. Maybe this food is the best thing that ever happened to me.
If you’re looking for a way to feed your dog and make him love you more, you should definitely try the Wellness Complete Health Dry Dog Food. It’s like having a gourmet chef for your dog. Trust me, you won’t regret it.

    Lots of fiber
Most stores by me do not carry the whitefish brand anymore. This is the only food my dog can eat. His stomach is highly sensitive. He’s 11 years old and looks and walks like he’s 3yrs old. Well made food and lots of fiber which is great for the gut! He’s a healthy dog.

I fed my dog wellness for about 2 years until the ” Quebec ” law prohibited all bag of
Dog/Cat food if the labeling is not in French ,, that why petsmart now deliver everywhere in Canada
except Quebec….. and if you go to local pet store all you can buy now its garbage..
I knew my Friend Amazon won’t let me down
Order it got it next day, at better price then anywhere.
My dog immediately eat like never before.
I tried all brand in pet shop and none of them come close to wellness.
My dog look healthier and has more energy already, absolutely no bad reactions to the changes
no slow transition , its just that good!
Thanks you Amazon for carrying the Wellness Brand

I started feeding my pup this food as it was recommended on line for tear stains. I took him off everything but this food and wellness treats with no chicken. It has taken 5 months but now very little tear stains. Huge difference.

Our dog quit eating Pro Plan bison & beef, she liked it at first but soon after second bag, she refused to eat it anymore. Bought a small bag of Wellness Whitefish & sweet potato & she gobbled it right up. Now will need to start ordering this one for her.
