It is never too early to start teaching children self-defense, and one important lesson they can learn is to say no when they are touched inappropriately. This is a lesson in personal protection and can be taught to children as young as four years old. It’s important to teach them this while they are young, as it is easy to forget these lessons as a child grows older. It’s best to teach this lesson when a child is being touched by someone they know and trust so that they don’t feel threatened. The lesson is to remind them that they can say no and that they don’t have to be afraid. This is the best way to teach them how to defend themselves against bigger threats and will give them the confidence they need to stand up for themselves.
Keep your child safe and help them learn to stand up for themselves with Where Hands Go.

Incredibly Informative
Robinâs Reviewâï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸ (5 Stars)I absolutely loved “Where Hands Go: An Introduction to Safe and Unsafe Touch” by Krystaelynne Sanders Diggs. This book is an incredible resource for parents, teachers, therapists, and guardians, helping children understand the importance of body autonomy and empowering them to confidently say “no” to unwanted touch. The message is presented in a gentle and straightforward way, making it easy for young readers to grasp such an important topic without feeling overwhelmed.Even though I read the books out of order, this is the third book Iâve read by this author, and I continue to be impressed by her ability to address critical topics with care and clarity. “Where Hands Go” encourages open conversations and gives kids a lifelong tool for understanding boundaries and staying safe. I highly recommend it to anyone working with childrenâitâs an essential read for every family and classroom.

More in depth
I love how this book is a second book to the original. The points I love about it is that it gets more specific on what is and isn’t inappropriate touch without losing the reader. The rhythm of the book flows very naturally and very easily I could see it into a nursery rhyme. It’s important for children to know and understand what is and isn’t ok, this book does that and can open up the conversation. It’s a great second book to the original. Hands down a must have for your children to learn and understand what is and isn’t ok without it being scary.

Great book! I’ve given several as gifts.
Where Hands Go: An Introduction to Safe and Unsafe Touch5 StarsWow! Where Hands Go is a great picture book! I was so delighted to see the diversity found in this book. It’s very impressive. I think this book is a good resource for parents to teach their younger children about consent and autonomy over their own bodies. Everyone deserves privacy and “No” should be respected. I loved how the rules were short, sweet, and rhyming and that helps children to remember the rules. I would highly recommend this book to parents who are looking to have this difficult type of conversation with their children. IMO, parents, it’s a must read for all, boys and girls.Thank you, NetGalley and BooksGoSocial, for an advance review copy for free and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
