Does what it is supposed to.
I have had one of these for awhile now with no issues. It works just like it is supposed to. The power company here sucks so I placed this in the hallway which is the darkest part of the house at any time of day. This little light doesn’t illuminate the whole hallway or anything but it is decently bright and will at least help you get your bearings while walking down the hallway after the power goes out. This companies products are great and i hope they keep up the good work.

Linked up to smartthings but didn’t control the outlet.
After tinkering with it for about 10 mins, I got it to hook up with smartthings. Really nothing too challenging about that. Tested the on/off functionality a few times and saw the led indicator on the insert turn on and off so that functionality worked great! However, no matter what the status of the insert was, both the top and bottom outlet were always on. I saw in the instructions that it recommends a model of Swidget outlet and I honestly don’t know which one I have, but regardless of the model, these inserts are supposed to be freely interchangeable so it really shouldn’t matter.Anyway, returning and will not be buying more.
