Winter Beanie w/Visor & Earflaps for Men Outdoor Fleece Hat Scarf Set

Looks, Feels & Fits as Expected
I looked at many caps on Amazon before deciding on this cap. The others may have been okay also, but this one arrived just as advertised and fits, feels and looks great to me. It is a one-size-fits-all and I guess I’m an average one-size, although in the past I felt I had a head a little on the larger side. It fit exactly. The ear covers hang down as hoped and cover my ears completely. Not worn in high winds outside yet, but unless you buy a cap with a ear strap that goes under your chin, I do not know how you could expect the ear covers to never blow up slightly ? Very warm, with a fur lining. But NOT itching on the head. I’m satisfied with this purchase and hope you will be also. Enjoy.

A little tight so not comfortable in the long run.
This is a one size fits all hat and it was a little tight on me. It left marks on my forehead after wearing it for 45 minutes. My head size is 23.5 inches = almost 60 cm. It would be fine for smaller head sizes. So it is not comfortable for me over a long period of time. I stretched it out by pulling on it so that helped a little. It is nice and warm and fits over my ears nicely with the ear flaps down. It looks OK too so I’m keeping it, at least until two other hats arrive. I wanted a baseball hat with ear flaps and have recently finally found some. Back when I was looking I didn’t see them or rejected them because they were so expensive (over $100). But after this experience and two others that I’ve thrown away, I will pay more to get what I need. Buy once and buy right. I wanted something with a bill in front to block the sun and many winter hats don’t have a bill. I have a third hat that I’m using for dirty jobs. I had to cut out a loop in back because the hat would ride up off my head whenever I looked up. The ear flaps don’t hug my ears after I cut out the loop in back to make it comfortable. I have a very nice wool baseball cap like hat with ear flaps that is worn out in front and they don’t make it any more. It has a nice elastic band it back the keeps the ear flaps close to your ears. But it’s high up so it doesn’t make the hat ride up off the back of your head when you look up. So I’ve been struggling for over two months to find something with a little style that I like. It’s just not this hat. I only have so much room on my hat rack so I only keep hats that I like and use.

Shocked at the quality for the price. Get one of these if you’re looking for this type of product because it is well made, soft and comfortable.

Not Designed for Heavy Use
Full disclaimer: I work outside for a living, I get dirty, the hat wasn’t just used, it was abused. With that said, my review is going to be based on the factors I’ve just defined. While I did try it on and it is warm, I did not use the neck scarf at all. Delivered on October 30, it’s now early March so approximately four months have passed and the hat is falling apart due to the abuse of outdoor work and being run through the washer and dryer a few times a week. After the first few washings, a piece of the visor broke off and was floating around inside the enclosed fabric. Over additional time, abuse, washing and drying, another piece broke off the visor on the opposite side and now holes in the fabric have begun to develop on both sides of the visor as well. Safe to say, the hat is definitely not designed to withstand the rigors of outdoor work, getting dirty, and being washed a few times a week. Spring is coming soon and my hope is that the hat will last just a little longer before it gets tossed or I find a way to recycle the fabric into something else.Now for the good. The hat is toasty warm and so far, has kept my head and ears from freezing during the cold winter days. The visor, while it started to fall apart early on, was helpful for keeping the sun out of my eyes while working. The pieces that have broken off are both on the edges so fortunately, it’s still usable for the time being. It’s a comfortable hat and while it’s not designed for the abuse I put it through, if your plan is to purchase this hat/scarf set for social use and maybe the occasional washing, I would recommend it.In all, three stars. If I purchased this hat/scarf for social use, I would have rated it higher.
