Yaktrax Walk Traction Cleats are lightweight, affordable, and easy to put on and take off, making them a simple solution for reducing the risk of falls when walking on snow and ice to work, school, or even to the mailbox. A highly elastic outer band and a tab on the heel help the cleats slip easily on and off of shoes, making Walk Traction Cleats perfect for pedestrians, professionals and the elderly. Traction is provided by abrasion-resistant 1.2 mm steel coils that are coated with zinc to help prevent rust. The shaped edge of the coils provide 360 degrees of traction on cold surfaces for all-direction stability. Yaktrax Walk Traction Cleats are tested safe from breakage in temperatures as low as -41 degrees F. They are available in four sizes to fit most shoes: Extra-small for petite sizes (fits shoe size W2.5-6/M1-4.5); Small (fits shoe size W6.5-10, M5-8.5); Medium (fits shoe size W10.5-12.5, M9-11); Large (fits shoe size W13-15, M11.5-13.5). For oversized shoes or boots, Yaktrax recommends purchasing one size larger than your normal shoe size.

Great for walking on snowy or icy surfaces
I bought these traction cleats to be able to navigate after an ice storm that made walking and driving treacherous for several days. They provided great security in conditions in which deeply lugged hiking shoes and boots were useless. They slip on and off easily but do not slip off during walking. My only caveat would be: Don’t inadvertently wear these indoors on any form of carpeted floor. The wire coils can catch on rug fibers and be pulled loose or broken. If you put them on and remove them at the door, they work great for their intended purpose.

Work great!
I bought these for the occasional ice and snow that we have in the Pacific Northwest. This last spring I took them with me to Iceland. They worked great. In Iceland it is common to wear hiking boots everywhere, but crampons and yaktrax must be removed when you go indoors. These are easy to take off and put on and they worked very well in the snow and ice in Iceland. I bought real crampons for Iceland but never used them, just used these.

Don’t slip on ice!
I’ve been a user of this product for decades. My old pair finally wore out (after 10+ years) and instead of looking at the new stuff, I went right back for the original.Great price, they work great, and since this is a specialty product, getting them on Amazon in a day (thank you Prime) saved me from driving to an outdoors store.Highly recommend this as they are easy to put on and take off your shoes, and they’ve offered me unparalleled traction over the years.Huge fan of Yaktrax!User note: do not wear these indoors, especially on tile. They are very slippery if they can’t bite. It’s great that they are so easy to put on and take off. When you get indoors, stop on your door mat and take them off.

Great alterative to expensive/sharp cramp-ons, but don’t last long
We recently traveled to Iceland during the winter and these were absolutely invaluable — from hiking to just walking around town, our Yaktrax kept us stable and upright. We both fell down at different times when we weren’t wearing them. As long as we had these on our feet, we were both as stable and comfortable as could be.The only issue we both faced was longevity. Toward the end of our week-long trip, both our pairs of Yaktrax started to break apart. My wife’s completely disappeared on a return hike from a glacier overlook, and mine broke apart and wrapped around my ankles during a hike to a hotsprings. We were able to find a local store that carried them for quick replacements for the last day of our trip, but it was disappointing they didn’t last and failed so suddenly and catastrophically. These are a great alternative to heavier spike cramp-ons. They are easier and safer to pack and carry; and easier to put on and take off. However, the trade-off appears to be longevity. If you are going to rely on these for a trip, bring a backup pair!

Great for snow and Ice!
I bought these just before a major snow/ice storm and they were a game changer for me. I was worried they wouldn’t fit on my womens size 10 Wide tennis shoes but they fit great and seemed to have good flexibility. Without them, I would not have been able to even get across my driveway so when I say they are a game changer, I mean it. I felt very confident walking in them and they are pretty easy to pull off. Just would not recommend wearing them inside the house as they feel very slippery on a smooth flat surface, like my laminate flooring. I didn’t get the sense that they would harm the flooring because they have a lot of give and are more metal circles, not spikes, if that makes sense. I will be getting another pair to have in my car just in case.

Reliable traction for slippery walks
Yaktrax have been a staple in my car/bag during with the winter months. I have used them for years. They are easy to slip on over shoes, providing a secure fit that stays put. The traction they offer is great, giving confidence to walk across an icy parking lot without fear of slipping. My only minor complaints are that they can be a bit cumbersome after I reach my car and try to remove sitting in the driver seat and they wear out the second winter I use them, eventually breaking and requiring replacement. Overall, a highly recommended investment for anyone seeking enhanced traction and safety in icy conditions.

Lightweight and easy to use
I was on a last-minute emergency trip to Portland, Oregon. And they were having ice and snowstorms. I had to get some thing that I could put onto my boots so that I would not slip and fall and kill myself! These are so lightweight and easy to use just stretch them on and snap them to your boots their elastic with the little coils of metal. I was walking on ice with a native Portland person and they were holding onto me because they boots werenât working and mine with these ice grippers really worked. I think theyâre a great quality and value free money. The fact that they arenât that expensive and they literally saved me from hurting myself and the ice. I have to say get yourself a pair.

Break easy
They donât make âem like they used to. I gave my old Yaks to a homeless dude but then ordered more. Love these things but my new ones broke about a week into them. I live in Minnesota and Ice is an issue, and I walk a lot. My old ones lasted me about two years. These lasted me few days.

I’m from the Midwest United States and Quebec’s snow is nothing like ours. It’s dry and powdery almost like sand, and the winter boots I’ve been using for years were NOT cutting it here. My boots were plenty warm, but the soles were making me slip, slide and almost fall every other step. I was looking for something reasonably priced that might be able to get me through my first real Canadian winter because I walk everywhere, and don’t want to break an ankle or something falling all the time. These were that something. I’m not slipping or sliding at all anymore, even when the people I’m with are. I can comfortably walk at a brisk pace, and have even had to run a few times in these. While I can walk on bare sidewalks with them on it’s not recommended and may cause extra wear on them. I haven’t noticed any on my pair from it yet. I do have to take them off when I go into stores (I wouldn’t want to wear them inside anyway) but it’s not an issue since they’re very easy to quickly take off and put on. I put them in a platic bag and put them in my backpack while in the store. For what these are, they’re amazing and very reasonably priced. If something happened to my pair tomorrow I wouldn’t hesitate a second in buying more. I would recommend them to anyone who has issues with slipping or knows someone who does.
