The SOMs provide solutions for embedded applications, offering performance, efficiency, and connectivity to meet the needs of different market segments.

MYIR has broadened its System-on-Module (SOM) portfolio with the launch of two new Rockchip-based modules: the MYC-YR3562 and MYC-YR3506. These modules, built on the Rockchip RK3562 and RK3506 processors respectively, offer a balance of performance, power efficiency, and flexibility for a wide variety of embedded applications.
The MYC-YR3506 is designed for low-power, entry-level multimedia and IoT use cases. Powered by the Rockchip RK3506 SoC, it features a triple-core ARM Cortex-A7 CPU running at up to 1.5GHz. A built-in 2D graphics engine and support for RGB and MIPI-DSI display interfaces make it compatible with a range of screen types.

Key connectivity options include dual 10/100Mbps Ethernet ports, dual USB 2.0 interfaces, dual CAN channels, and six UART interfaces. Combined with its power-efficient design, these features make the module an excellent choice for battery-powered devices such as low-cost smart displays, basic IoT systems, and lightweight multimedia solutions.
Targeted at mid-range and performance-intensive applications, the MYC-YR3562 is built around the Rockchip RK3562 processor. It features a quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 CPU, integrated 3D GPU, and a dedicated NPU delivering up to 1 TOPS for AI and machine learning workloads.
The SOM also delivers robust multimedia and connectivity capabilities, featuring Gigabit Ethernet, USB 3.0, dual CAN interfaces, support for up to 10 UART ports, and multiple display outputs including RGB, LVDS, and MIPI-DSI. It additionally offers dual camera inputs via MIPI-CSI and supports 4K video decoding along with 1080p video encoding. With its versatile features and cost-effective design, the MYC-YR3562 is an ideal solution for industrial automation, IoT gateways, edge computing, and other intelligent embedded applications.
Both SOMs operate on the Linux operating system and are tailored to meet the needs of different market segments. The MYC-YR3506 is optimized for lightweight, cost-effective solutions, while the MYC-YR3562 is designed for more demanding applications that require higher performance and advanced features. Users can choose the appropriate MYIR Rockchip-based SOM to best suit their specific application requirements.
