Delivers fast, reliable connectivity with AS39029-certified removable crimp contacts — engineered to meet MIL-DTL-24308 standards for mission-critical aerospace and defense applications.

Littelfuse, Inc. has released its latest innovation — the AeroSplice Wire-to-Wire Connecting Solution. This advanced wire splicing system is specifically designed to streamline and standardise wire connections in aviation and defense applications, offering a faster, more reliable alternative to traditional manual splicing methods. Built to meet and exceed the stringent MIL-DTL-24308 military specifications, AeroSplice simplifies the complex and often error-prone process of wire splicing while enhancing both speed and consistency.
It introduces a snap-in, snap-off mechanism that enables secure wire connections to be completed in seconds, eliminating the time-intensive practices associated with conventional splicing techniques. This breakthrough design reduces both installation and inspection time by more than 60%, offering significant efficiency gains for industries where precision, reliability, and space are critical. Beyond its time-saving benefits, AeroSplice’s reconnectable design with removable crimp contacts allows for straightforward maintenance and easy field repairs, helping to minimize downtime in mission-critical environments.

The key specifications are:
- Working Voltage (1and 4 way): 300 Vrms @ sea level and 250 Vrms @ sea level
- Rated Current: 7.5 A (Size 20/20) and 3.0 A(Size 20/26)
- Contact Resistance: ≤ 5.0 mΩ (at rated current)
- Insulation Resistance: ≥ 5000 MΩ (at 500 VDC)
- Voltage Proof (1 way): 1250 Vrms / 2.0 mA leakage
- Temperature Range: -55°C to +125°C
- Residual Magnetism: 200 Gamma (NMB)
Engineered to withstand high vibration, extreme temperatures, and harsh operating conditions, it is ideal for a wide range of demanding aerospace and defense systems. It supports standard wire gauges from AWG20 to AWG28, offering the flexibility needed to handle diverse wiring configurations across various applications. According to Rémi Antoine, Global Product Manager at C&K, a Littelfuse brand, AeroSplice was specifically developed to meet the unique challenges of aviation and defense environments. Antoine emphasized that the solution not only simplifies the splicing process but also helps manufacturers and maintenance teams improve reliability and efficiency while reducing labor costs.
It is perfectly suited for electrical harnesses in both commercial and military aircraft, secure wiring in ground vehicles, UAVs, and fighter jets, as well as radar, electronic warfare systems, naval applications, and command-and-control infrastructures. It also supports aerospace manufacturing and maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) operations. It is available now in quantities of 50 for one-way and 20 for four-way configurations.
